Chapter 47: New Plan

~Y/n P.O.V~

"Come on, we gotta get some sleep while this storm is still going on" Mariano says as he tries to stand up but I grab his shirt

"Last time I left everyone alone Carlos took them......what is he takes you too?! I can't do this on my own Mariano!" I say as I begin to cry more and I feel him sigh

"I won't leave your side little sis, we'll both sleep in Dolores's room. You take her bed and I'll make a makeshift bed beside hers, ok?" Mariano says and I nod before letting go of his shirt and standing up with him

We walk to Dolores room as another big flash of lightening lights up the sky followed by a loud crack of thunder. I hug myself as we walk into Dolores room and Mariano gently guides me to Dolores bed and I sit down and sniff

"Stay here while I go and get us new clothes" He says and I look up with wide eyes

"I'll be fine Y/n, and I'll keep the door open. Just stay seated ok?" Mariano says and I nod as he leaves the room

I quickly stand up and grab the chair from Dolores desk and place it in her doorway as I sit down and watch Mariano go to Señora Pepa and Señor Félix's room first. He opens the door and keeps it open and he finds Félix's wardrobe and grabs a couple clothes that seem big enough. After he's done there he walks back out and sees me

"I thought I told you to stay seated on the bed!" Mariano says

"Nuh-uh you told me to stay SEATED you didn't specify where" I say and Mariano groans before making his way to Camilo's room

I look down at the Ruana I have on and rub my finger over the weird stane that Camilo was never able to wash out. I smile as I remember him telling me the story from how he got this stane when he was younger. I'm pulled from my thoughts when I hear a door close and see Mariano walk out with a new set of Camilo's clothes

"You change in there first and I'll wait out here" Mariano says and I nod as I move the chair back inside Dolores room and Mariano shuts it

I quickly pull off all of my wet clothes and place Camilo's Ruana on the back of the chair, letting it sit dry, as I throw on all my new clothes. I open the door when I'm finished and Mariano walks in to change.

I stand outside the door and wait when I hear a soft whimper come from my right and I quickly look over. I see P/n walking over with a scratched out eye and wounds all over their body, and deep cuts. I cover my mouth as I stare horrified for a second before running over to P/n

"P/n! Omg I'm so sorry my sweet sweet baby! S...Stay here I'll go and get some ointments and bandages from Señora Julieta's room!" I quickly say as Mariano walks out as I run past him

"What's going o—" he begins to ask before I cut him off

"Make sure P/n stays awake!!" I yell back at him and he looks over before quickly running to P/n's side

I burst through Señora Julieta's door and run to where I know she keeps her ointments and bandages. I grab the whole basket full and run back out as I hear another small squeak and see R/n by the door

"R/n! Oh thank god!" I say as I bend down and pick them up and place them on my shoulder before running back over to P/n and Mariano

I quickly sit down and try to remember what Señora Julieta and Antonio told me about healing an animal. I repeat all the steps they had told me before finishing up by bandaging P/n's wounds with vet wrap as the small tissue swabs(those things that Doctors use after blood draws, yk what I mean? I completely forgot what they were called) cover up the wound with the healing ointments. P/n lays their head in my lap as they slowly close their eyes, feeling safe.
