Chapter 14: Dinner Diaster

~Y/n P.O.V~

We all stare at Dolores before she calmly yet quickly walks towards the stairs, we all begin to run after her before we see everyone sitting down at the table, finishing up the last touches of the dinner.

Mirabel and Señor Agustín look at me then at each other and then back at me

"I need you to hold onto these and hide, if Abuela sees you, she'll throw a fit!" Señor Agustín says as he hands me the glass shards

"And here use my bag so that you aren't just holding them in your arms" Mirabel says as she holds open her bag and I dump the shards into it before slinging it across my body

"Now go!" They both say as they rush to the stairs and down them, joining their family at the table

I swiftly run around a Pilar upstairs and look for a way out, I don't see one except for the stairs

I groan quietly "You've gotta be fucking kidding me, the only way out is down the stairs and out the front door" I think to myself as I mentally face palm

I make sure the coast is clear before making my way over to the stairs, as I reach the top of them I look over towards where the madrigals are

Mirabel and Dolores are having a weird staring contest, Mirabels probably trying to make sure that Dolores doesn't tell anyone

I quietly make my way down the stairs, after each step making sure that no one hears or sees me, and finally I make it to the bottom

I look back over and see Dolores staring directly at me then look down at Mirabels bag where the shards are glowing. I quickly bring my finger up to shush her and she just stares wide-eyed at me before looking back at Mirabel

I look away to see where the front door was and when I look back over I see Dolores whispering in Camilo's ear. I instantly freeze as he looks over at me before coughing and changing into Bruno, Mirabel and Me

When he's done his eyes are going two different direction, I cover my mouth to stifle a laugh when I see Señor Félix tell him something before Camilo shakes his head and his eyes go back to normal

When they do I he looks at me with a worried expression, I look away and quickly hide behind one of the pillars and when I look back over Camilo is whispering into Señor Félixs ear

When Camilo's done Señor Félix spits out his water everywhere and I see Camilo nervously tap his fingers with a sweet and nervous smile

Mirabel looks back at me with a terrified expression and give her the same one back as we both notice clouds starting to form

We both look over at Señora Pepa to see her mouth wide open as Señor Fèlix whispers in her ear, Abuela seems to tell her something and Señora Pepa starts mumbling to herself as she rubs her hair

I hear someone cough loudly and I see Señor Félix had noticed me, I awkwardly smile and wave as his mouth drops open and he looks at Mirabel

She quickly hushes him before we both look back over at Señora Pepa to see that she's now whispering to Señora Julieta. As Señora Pepa is done Señora Julieta looks over at Mirabel with a worried expression before she spots me and her eyes go wide

I cough silently and hide more behind the Pilar when I notice cracks under Mirabels chair, which she's seemed to have noticed as well

"Mirabel, is everything alright?" Mariano asks and Mirabel hits her head on the table before looking at him

"Yup! Everything is perfectly fine! Nothing to worry about!" Señor Félix says as he holds Mirabels hand and pats it

"God, they both have the same awkward smile" I think to myself
