~Camilo P.O.V~
"Y/n?! Y/N?!" I hear Y/n's parents yell as they come running into what used to be Casita
I feel my family pull away and I stay in my hunched position for a few more seconds before slowly standing up as I turn to face them, I watch as Tía and Tío try to calm them down but soon Y/n's whole family is running up to me with tears in their eyes
"Please Camilo! Where is our daughter(child/kid/son)???" Y/n's mom asks and I look down as tears prick my eyes again
I slowly raise my hand and wipe my tears with the end of my Ruana and look back up to look Y/n's mother in the eyes
"Y/n...they.....they were trying to P...protect Mirabel but in the process they.....a crack had broken out beneath them and they tried to hold on for as long as possible and...and I had run in to catch them but I....I couldn't reach them and they—they fell!" I say but as I reach the end I begin to break down into tears again
"I'm so sorry!!" I say to Y/n's mom as I see her back up as her eyes widen
Y/n's mom begins to cry as Y/n's dad comforts her and soon Señora L/n is full on sobbing just as I was a couple of minutes ago. I look around the family and see Drew and Grey are just staring down at the floor with wide eyes as tears pours out of their eyes. Carlos is pacing around as he grabs some of his hair and mumbles to himself; denying that Y/n is gone. Ale is trying to comfort his parents as is Marco but with his own. And Abuelo...he walks up to me
"Boy, did you really try to save my granddaughter...?" He asks me and I nod
"Yes sir, why wouldn't I?" I ask as sadly smiles
"You're just like your Abuelo Pedro" Abuelo L/n says and my eyes widen
"You knew him?" I ask as I wipe my eyes
"Yeah. Me, Him, your Abuela and my brother were all good friends. But then the men on horseback came, but I think your whole family needs to hear this story" Abuelo L/n says before patting my head and walking back to his family
I stare at him as I see Antonio holding onto the stuffed Jaguar Mirabel had made him, everyone looks up as it starts to get dark out
"Can we please help tomorrow to help you find Mirabel?" Y/n's mom asked Tía and Tía nods
Soon the L/n's leave and I see Marco carrying the twins as they try to get back to us, screaming and crying that they're ant Y/n and I look down at my hand as I holds the bracelet I made for them.
I put the bracelet on and walk over to my family
"I'm gonna go out and search for Mirabel" I say as I grab one of the candles we still have and go out to look, only to feel Antonio grab the back of my Ruana
"I wanna help you!" Antonio says and I nod as I grab his hand and we begin our search
I think of all the places Mirabel liked to go and start off with the shop us three had first discovered Y/n's gift at. As we walk we see everyone in town trying to fix up their houses, seeing as all their stuff had fallen down when all the cracks broke out. I see the three kids that usually hung out with Mirabel all looking glum and I just walk past them with Antonio.
As we reach the store we walk in and the store owner looks over before signing at us
"Sorry boys but Mirabel isn't here" He says and I nod my head before leaving and walking back
"Do you think Y/n's still alive?" Antonio asks me and I tense up
"I don't know..." I say and continue walking
"I mean maybe they could be! Maybe one of my animal friends found them somewhere and is trying to bring them home!" Antonio says
"Antonio, Y/n fell down a crack in our house. That's the same thing as a cliff, I don't think one of your animal friends found them" I say as we get closer to what used to be Casita
"But maybe there was like a river or something beneath casita! Like you know all the water from the wells?! Maybe that was underneath our house!" Antonio says and I grip the candle tightly
"I doubt it Antonio" I say
"I know it hurts Camilo but maybe they are still ali—" Antonio begins to say before I cut him off
"Y/n's dead Antonio! Dead! Dead! Dead! They aren't coming back! And I'm never going to see them again!" I angrily say to him as we get to what used to be the front door and everyone stares at me
I let go of Antonio's hand and walk off, ignoring everyone who's calling my name and for me to come back, soon I make it to one of my favorite spots. An old pond that has lily pads and flowers and barley any bugs, the moon always reflects perfectly off of it.
I sit down on one of the rocks and take a deep breath before opening my eyes and staring at the water. As I stare out into the water I hear a twig behind me snap and I quickly turned around to see Carlos
"Sorry man, didn't mean to scare ya. I guess you found this place too" Carlos says as walks over and sits down on another rock
"Y/n and I used to come here a lot when we were younger....play in pond and catch frogs, we would always name them the stupidest things" Carlos says and I feel my eyes begin to water
"Im sorry..." I say as I hear him hum
"Im sorry too Camilo, you lost a lover and a bestfriend" Carlos says and I look at him
"You lost a cousin and a bestfriend!" I say to him as I see he's crying
"Yeah....I'm gonna miss them so fucking much, you know they always used to come home after seeing you do your chores and they would go on and on about how you could shift and how cool it was. At one point Marco actually teased Y/n that he was gonna go and tell you that Y/n had a crush on you. And Y/n beat the shit outta him" Carlos says before laughing and I laugh too
"I know you tried to save them but hey....let's not cry over the memories we have of them, let's laugh and enjoy them. And let's continue to stand for what Y/n stood for" Carlos says before reaching out his fist
I bump his fist with mine before looking at the bracelets I have and looking over at Carlos to see he has a lock it
"What's in the lock it?" I ask and he looks down at it
"A photo of my family then young me and Y/n" He says before we hear yelling
"Well I should get back, come and get me and my family if you guys find Mirabel" Carlos says and I nod before he walks off
I think about what he said and smile
"I'll continue to fight for what you believe in Y/n.....because that's what lovers do..."

Anyways luckily for y'all I have the next I think like 3 chapters already pre-written and don't you guys worry my story is far from over. I know y'all were probably thinking "oh no the end of the movie in this book is coming to an end! Which means the book is coming to an end" Loves y'all couldn't be more wrong
I still got like 20-30 more chapters of this book planned, and that's without counting these next one is already pre written, sadly I only had 2 prewritten and passed out during #3 but I'll get the rest of the chapters I promised done, this book ain't over yet!
