A/N: Sorry its been so long! Life's been a little crazy, and frankly I wasn't all that highly motivated to finish writing the chapter etc. But! Here is... a chapter.

But thank you to all of the readers voting, and leaving comments. I read every single one of them and I'm so glad many of you are enjoying my little story :) And we're super close to 100k reads as well! Wow. Such a crazy number to be able to type, as I never really thought this story would get there. But thank you thank you thank you for reading and enjoying!

Enjoy the chapter!

"I believe I've mentioned it already," Aizawa started, hunched over his podium. They were back in class, and things had calmed down for everyone, including Mikutori, albeit slightly. She was getting through the day, at least. "But your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses."

Right. They way Mikutori could continue studying with her uncle on becoming a hero, to work with him and gain experience.

"Do not take this lightly," Aizawa continued, his eyes becoming even more serious. It was like they were boring straight into Mikutori's soul. "A hero license means that you're responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to receive one is very difficult." Mikutori needed to focus. Her issues couldn't get in the way of her getting her provisional hero license, so she had to shove them to the sidelines for now. "Only fifty percent of students pass the test required for these permits each year."

That statistic was both surprising and not to Mikutori, from what she knew, gaining a hero's license, even just a provisional one, was extremely difficult and taxing to train for.

"In order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new," Aizawa's eyes narrowed as the classroom door opened, Mikutori's eyes immediately flicking over to the incoming light. At the door were three other pro hero teachers, Midnight, Cementoss, and Ectoplasm. "Two ultimate moves!" She could feel the tension in the air, the idea of solidifying ultimate moves was daunting, but Mikutori had been working hard lately, and was already thinking of three possibilities for her own. The class seemed excited however, as the teachers explained what these ultimate moves should be, and how they are useful to every hero.

They left for gym Gamma, the girls chatting as they got changed into their hero costumes. As usual, they didn't push Mikutori to join in on their conversations, but this time it felt different. To Mikutori, she felt so alone, pushed to the outside. She knew that they were all still mad at her, for what she did to the number one hero. Mikutori changed in silence, switching out her new hearing aids for her mask/hearing aids combo to finish off her hero costume.

Once they were all gathered in the gym, the teachers went on to explain the uniqueness of the gym, as it was made per Cementoss's design, built of cement so that it could be easily manipulated and repaired by his power. Iida then interrupted the mini-lecture, using his usual loud voice to ask the importance of having ultimate moves for their license exam.

It made sense as Aizawa spoke, their ultimate moves were special and unique entirely to them, and could be used to gain an edge in a fight. But they didn't have to be offensive moves, something that intrigued Mikutori. Her quirk wasn't always the best for offense, especially if the opponent didn't have normal skin, or it couldn't be reached. If that were the case, her feathers would be mostly useless. Otherwise, her feathers were great for recon and movement, something she had already been working on over both the summer camp and her hero internship with her uncle.

"The training camp was interrupted, but the practice you did get in to develop your quirks was part of the process needed to create these defining abilities. Now that you're caught up, you'll be working hard to develop powerful moves of your own for the next ten days, or so. This is how you'll spend the remainder of your summer vacation," the intensity in the gym was real, but Mikutori was getting into the mindset to tackle this training. Nothing else mattered at that moment, no one else mattered.
