Hehe... sorry its been so long. I meant to update sooner, but as the school semester closes, the stress is getting to me. I think there will be one more update coming before the new year, so I guess there's that to look forward to.

Other than that, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

It was a bit later in their summer vacation when Mikutori got a text from Uraraka. She was asking if Mikutori was still planning on coming to the pool with the other girls to have some fun before the summer training camp. Mikutori thought it over a bit, as water was not the best for her feathers really, but decided to go anyways.

It might help to get more water-based training in, since it seemed to be such a weak point for her and her quirk.

Mikutori quickly met up at the school with the other girls of her class, the seven of them entering the locker room to change into the school uniform swimsuit. It was a one-piece suit, not something Mikutori entirely enjoyed, but it covered a majority of her scar, so she couldn't complain too much. Though she didn't really care at that point either, as her hero costume showed most of it anyways. Mikutori was about to leave the locker room with the other girls when she stopped and frowned, before going back to her locker and taking out her hearing aids, tilting her head as her brain struggled to switch to hearing without them.

She and the girls were stretching alongside the pool when suddenly most of the boys from their class entered the pool area as well, there for endurance training.

Mikutori pursed her lips a bit, catching eyes with Todoroki. She blushed a bit, remembering the mall conversation she had with Ashido and Hagukare. Her eyes traveled over his toned and muscular body before quickly looking away.

The girls made their way into the pool, starting to play some volleyball. Mikutori tried her best to keep her feathers dry, but after playing for several minutes, there was no point in trying to keep them from getting wet.

The boys were training, while the girls just had fun. Mikutori would have really rather been training as well, but decided it was nice to have a bit of fun every once in a while, so she stayed with the girls.

The girls exited the pool after a while of playing volleyball, Mikutori hearing Iida suggest the boys hold a race to see who was the fastest. Yaoyorozu immediately offered to have the girls help them out, Mikutori standing at the back of their small group, feathers puffed up to help with drying.

The boy accepted, Yaoyorozu making a whistle with her quirk. The first line up of boys was about to start, asking if they could use their quirks to get across. Mikutori stood on the side, finding herself next to Todoroki.

"I forgot you would have to take your hearing aids out with the water," he said, luckily standing on her right side. She just crossed her arms across her chest, trying to ignore the way Todoroki was nonchalantly standing next to her, completely shirtless. Todoroki just looked down at her for a few more seconds before turning his attention to the first race.

The first heat went, Bakugo completely avoiding the water and blasting his way across. Mikutori just shook her head, not thinking they were being serious when it came to being able to use their quirks for the race. He obviously won, but hadn't even bothered touching the water to get across.

Todoroki was in the next heat, and Mikutori found herself watching him step up on the starting block. She had a feeling he would be winning this heat. And he did, using his ice to practically skate across the water while the other boys attempted to get across their own ways.

The last heat went, and it was a close call between Iida and Midoriya, the latter boy using his new-found style of using his quirk to speed up his swimming, earning him the win of this last preliminary heat.
