TW: The description of a panic attack/PTSD triggers occurs at the end of the chapter. Please take care of yourself! And so the battles continued, Mikutori and Todoroki being the heroes of the second battle. Mikutori walked in first, immediately walking towards an inside wall and plucking a feather from her head, the feather soundlessly stiffening in the air and stabbing itself point-first into the wall, Mikutori's eyes and the feather glowing a bright blue. Todoroki stood silently behind her, staring at her back. Her palms pressed together on either side of the stiff feather, sandwiching it between them, her stance wide in confidence as she faced the wall.
Over in the viewing room, the other students instantly questioned why the girl had shoved her feather into the wall and was standing the way she was, and Uraraka was quick to try and explain.
"Kumosora mentioned yesterday that she could control her feathers telekinetically, but I have no idea what she is doing with it," The bubbly girl said, and the other students started chatting about the benefits of having someone great at recon on their side. All Might even hummed at the thought, as no one present knew the full explanation of the gray-feathered girl's quirk.
Back in the abandoned building, Mikutori turned to Todoroki, eyes dulling back to their normal blue color. She had felt the slight vibration of footsteps in the building from the feather, the 'villains' weren't quite quiet enough to evade her.
"They're on the fourth floor, one's on the north side," she informed the boy, also mentioning that one of the two 'villains' was barefoot, remembering that the 'villains' were the invisible girl and the karate-tail boy. Hagukare must have taken off her shoes to be even more discreet. It didn't work against Mikutori, though.
In the viewing room, All Might confirmed the girl's recon abilities. "Yes, she just informed Todoroki on the exact locations of the villains...very well done," He said, the rest of the class aweing at the screens.
"For your own safety, go outside," was all that Todoroki said, Mikutori immediately glaring at him. She growled under her breath before consenting, stomping out of the building. She wasn't about to have a tantrum when the entire class was watching, she didn't want to be talked about like the class had about Bakugo.
"This is ridiculous, I do one thing for the entire exercise and get shoved out of the room," she growled, forgetting that All Might could hear everything she was saying through her ear-piece. Her classmates could clearly see the annoyance on her face and in her body language from the viewing room screens, the students mumbling to each other about Todoroki's strategy and Mikutori's reaction.
"Hmm...she shouldn't look so mad, they might even win!"
"Yeah, look! Todoroki is freezing the building!"
Mikutori turned back around to the building, hands shoved deep in her pockets, to see it become completely covered in ice. She lightly shuddered at the thought, as she always got cold quite easily, and she was glad to not be one of the villains at that moment.
"The hero team...WINS!" All Might yelled through the ear pieces.
"Gah!" Mikutori yelped, yanking the device out of her right ear. No one seemed to have noticed her odd reaction to the earpiece over the screens, her classmates too enraptured in Todoroki's amazing quirk. The building's ice started melting, and her classmates were practically fawning over it from the viewing room.
That must be his left side, the red side, she thought. He must have two quirks. I wonder how powerful it is...if it's...fire?
Todoroki walked back outside, Mikutori still having a dangerous scowl on her face, posture angry despite her hands being in her pockets, feathers slightly fluffed in irritation. She couldn't believe how strong he was, but was more upset at her inability to do more, only giving recon information on the enemies whereabouts. The four walked back to the viewing room, Mikutori still quite pissed-off, refusing to look at anyone, her feathers fluttering slightly on her head in irritation as she walked into the room.
