TW: Panic attacks
It was the first week back into classes after moving into the dorms, and Mikutori found herself walking alone to class. She didn't expect anyone to want to walk with her anyways, she knew they were all still keeping their distance. How could she blame them? It was all her fault that the best hero in the world was out of commission. Mikutori was so enraptured in her own thoughts that she didn't even realize that she was wearing the same dirt-and-blood covered gray converse that she had over the summer. They were stained with splotches of dark brown and red, the rubber soles dirty in all of the creases. It was quite apparent that there was blood on them, the blood that most likely dripped onto them from Mikutori's own bleeding head at the time.
Since they were her only pair of shoes, she didn't think anything when putting them on that morning. She would only realize soon enough. Things just didn't seem to be going her way after being captured by the League of Villains. She had to move into the dorms, all of her classmates hated her now, and she didn't know what to do.
Mikutori made her way to class as usual, feigning indifference as her classmates filtered in before morning class, her feet crossed and propped up on her desk as she usually did. Her tall socks hid the long scar on her ankle, like it hadn't even happened. But it did, and there was nothing Mikutori could do about it. Her whole day was shattered by Uraraka, Iida, and Midoriya coming up to her desk, the three chatting away.
"Hey, Kumosora! We missed you on the way to class..." Uraraka started, fading off after seeing the state of Mikutori's shoes. The bubbly girl's eyes were wide with shock, and the two boys next to her slowly caught on.
"Kumosora, your shoes, are they from over the summer?" The girl tried to ask casually, not wanting to hurt Mikutori's feelings or shock her too much. Mikutori looked at her feet abruptly, causing a bout of whiplash to sting in her neck. The feather-headed girl haphazardly pulled her feet off of her desk, shoving them under her desk.
The pure embarrassment and horror was stark across Mikutori's face, and she wouldn't look up to meet anyone's eyes, as many had turned their direction after the cacophony of noise of Mikutori shuffling her feet from off of her desk. Mikutori stared at her desk top instead, her face as red as Todoroki's hair, of who had just arrived to his seat next to her. Before anyone could say anything else, Aizawa had entered the room to start their first class.

Mikutori didn't leave her seat the entire day, not even when on their long breaks. Instead, she just sat there in horror, her feet shoved as far under her desk as possible. As soon as the last bell rang for the day, Mikutori was practically flying out of the room, escaping any questions from her classmates.
She couldn't believe that she had just shown up to school with shoes that were stained with her own blood, with the evidence of her own weakness from being captured by the enemy. Mikutori sped walked all the way out of the building, and then couldn't take it anymore, so she pulled two feathers from her head and threw them in front of her. They immediately stiffened and floated down towards the ground.
Mikutori jumped up on her gray feathers, the fibers immediately wrapping around the soles of her feet for stability, before she zoomed off towards their new dorm building. Mikutori was the first one back, so she immediately bypassed the common room to seclude herself into her bedroom. Finally alone in her own room, Mikutori could finally relax, and she slid down her door to sit on the carpeted floor.
She sat with her arms propped on top of her knees, breathing deeply after having had a panic attack for most of the school day and then finally rushing home. Sniffling, Mikutori wiped her face before reaching down to untie her shoes. With her shaking hands, the laces were difficult to undo, and she quickly became frustrated and ripped at her shoes, yelling as she finally freed her feet from the stained converse.
