TW: Mild description of dead bodies. Not too much detail, but its there.

A young girl with gray feathers for hair had her quirk manifest at school, in the middle of class. Being it preschool, where everyone eventually manifested their quirks, Mikutori manifesting hers was no surprise.

It was her quirk, that was the problem.

While they all had their suspicions that her quirk would involve the feathers acting as her hair, what they did to people was amazing in the most terrifying way.

It was in the middle of playtime when a feather popped off of her head, swirling around her in a floaty manner. She and the rest of the class stood in awe as she turned in a circle, following the feather, her eyes suddenly glowing a bright blue. It was mesmerizing for Mikutori to watch, her attention solely on the silver-gray feather.

The teachers were mentioning something about her being able to move them telekinetically, when suddenly, a little boy in her class reached out to touch the gray feather.

As soon as his finger grazed the soft fibers, the image of dozens of snakes filled the floor, both the little boy and Mikutori screaming out in fear. No one else seemed to see the snakes, as they did not react to the creatures slithering around their feet. The little boy started sobbing, and the feather Mikutori was controlling suddenly fell to the floor. Mikutori's eyes clenched shut, but the images of the snakes still glared behind her eyelids.

The teachers surged forward, hugging the little boy as he cried, shooting looks at Mikutori, wondering what she did. Mikutori was now staring at the floor, eyes returned to their normal blue, watching as the slithering serpents faded away into nothing, the floor returning to normal, only colorful rugs and other students covering it.

The other students in the class backed away from Mikutori, even the teachers took a step or two back. Her quirk was not something nice, as only something psychologically terrifying could cause a little boy to be crying his eyes out the way he did.

Before Mikutori knew it, her parents were called, and her father came right away, as her mother was stuck in a long, complicated surgery, and her father could just fly over to see her, his hero license allowing him to use his Avian quirk to leave the agency and get to his daughter.

Mikutori was sitting in a chair outside of the principal's office, hands clasped in her lap as she stared at the loose gray feather gripped between her small fingers. Her father finally arrived, kneeling down in front of his daughter, reaching out to touch the loose feather. None of her feathers had ever fallen out before like this, but as he reached, Mikutori gasped and yanked the feather closer to her body, tears in her eyes as she looked up at her kneeling father.

"What happened, my little bird?" Haiirotori asked, wiping the tears from her tanned and freckled face. He was in his silver and yellow hero costume, a pair of cliché aviator goggles pulled up to rest on top of his head, silver hair poking out from underneath them.

"My feathers are bad, daddy," she whispered, clenching the feather tighter in her fingers, the soft fibers becoming crumpled in her fist. The absolutely terrified look on her face was heartbreaking to the pro-hero father, as he had never seen his daughter this distraught.

"What? Your feathers are beautiful, honey, how could they be bad?"

Before Mikutori could answer though, the principal opened the door, beckoning the pro-hero father inside.

"Thank you for coming so quickly..." the principal was not quite sure what to call him, as he was still in his hero costume, but was here as a father, not a hero.
