Chapter 332

Jay's POV: As I walked over to my brother so that I could say hi on my way home. "Well, if it isn't a nice surprise that we are here at the same time." Looking up at me, Will laughed and then got up to come hug me. "How are you?" I smiled when he asked me that. "I'm good. Mind having a bit of company until my food's ready?" Natalie shook her head when I asked them that. "Of course not. How's Rex doing today?" I smiled when she asked me that. "He's doing good. He's officially a police dog." Will looked at me when I said that. "Oh really?" I nodded and smiled.

"Yes. He just got qualified today. But then, I got in trouble with the boss man." Natalie looked at me when I said that. "What'd he do?" I sighed. "He yelled me because I had to go to the police academy and do his last test. Of course, that made me late...and it led to me and Erin having a fight today." Will got worried when I said that. "Is everything okay between you two?" I sighed when he asked me that and went to wipe my eyes. "Erin didn't tell Hank when she was supposed to because I knew that this would happen." Will agreed with me when I said that.

"And do you think that you guys are going to be able to patch things up." I was shocked that he even asked me that. "Of course we are going to be able to patch things up. This is nothing." Will agreed with me when I said that. "If you need us to take the kids for a night..." I shook my head when he asked me that. "It's fine Will, we're going to be fine talking. The kids are going to be asleep soon." Will agreed with me when I said that. "Let me guess, you're getting food so that you don't have to cook?" I nodded and agreed with her. "I hope that we can just talk it out."

Natalie agreed with me when I told her that. "I think that you are going to be able to do it Jay. You guys are solid." I nodded and agreed with Natalie when she told me that. "I can say the same thing about you guys." I smiled and agreed with Natalie when she told me that. "Thanks Jay." I smiled and agreed with them we they said that. "Sorry again that I almost screwed you guys up." Will smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "It's okay. We are good now." I smiled and agreed with Will when he said that. "So, what are your plans for tonight? Helen got the kids?"

Will nodded when I asked him that. "She's been great. Heck, she even agreed to take our kids together, not just Owen." Natalie nodded when Will said that. "Yeah, she's great." I smiled and agreed with the both of them. "I'm glad that you guys finally get a night out. You guys need to get it more often. I would help but...we're just dealing with the stuff with Emma now." Will looked at me when I said that. "Did you get the diagnosis yet?" I shook my head. "We're getting it next week. I still think it's autism." Will agreed with me when I said that.

"Are you worried?" I sighed when Will asked me that. "Yeah. I was always worried that we would have one kid with mental health issues...and I get that's not normal since my mental health issues are inheritable." Natalie agreed with me when I told them that. "Yeah, that makes sense. Now listen, you know that we are here for you right?" I nodded and smiled when Natalie told me that. "Thanks Natalie, I appreciate that. But we can talk more about it at lunch on Tuesday. Our appointment is at 11 on Tuesday. I think we're going to see Dr. Charles in his clinic."

Will nodded and agreed with me when I told him that. "Yeah, that's where he does his diagnosis. I hope that things go okay and I'm sorry that you have to go through this." I agreed with him when he said that and just took a breath. That's when I felt my phone vibrate. Going to grab it, I saw that it was Erin.

E: How are things going at the restaurant? You on your way back?
J: Foods' almost ready. Will's here. Talking about Emma/autism.
E: Ok. Can you ask him to be there for you? I know this is hard on you.
J: Yeah, we can talk about it later when I'm home. It is hard on me.
E: I know Jay. Just take a breath and we can talk when you get home. <3 XO

Going to set my phone down, I went to look at my brother. "So, how are things at your place?" Will laughed when I asked him that. "Owen is doing great. Nick and Willie are just adorable now. Almost 6 months old." I smiled and agreed with him when he said that. "Uhm listen, I was just texting with Erin. She asked me to ask you guys to just let me talk to you guys. I'm not taking this new about Emma's autism that well. It's hard to see my daughter getting diagnosed with mental health when I have mental health issues too." Will agreed with me when I said that.

"Hey, of course I'm going to be there for you Jay. I promise that I'm going to be here for you. I'll do whatever I can to make sure that you and Erin are both okay." I smiled and agreed with him when he said that. That's when I heard Herrmann walk up to me. "Hey Jay, here's the food that you ordered." Looking up at him, I smiled as I went to go grab it. "Thanks Herrmann." Going to get up, I smiled and went to grab it. "Will, I would love to keep talking but...I would rather spend some time with Erin and our kids." Will agreed with me when I said that and smiled.

Getting up, he came to hug me and just smiled. "Have a safe drive home and we'll talk another time okay?" I nodded and agreed with him when he said that. "Thanks again man." Going to walk up to Natalie, I smiled and then went to hug her. "Nice seeing you. Have a good night and enjoy your day off tomorrow." Natalie nodded and smiled when I said that. "You too Jay." I smiled and agreed with her when she said that. "Same to you." Going to look at Matt, I smiled. "Happy birthday again Matt." Matt nodded and smiled when I said that. "Thanks again man."

I nodded and agreed with him, smiling as I went to leave the bar so that I could make my way home.
