Hospital Stay: First Christmas/Birthday

Hospital Stay Day 170: Christmas Day 2019
Gabby's POV: As I walk out of the washroom shortly after taking a nice evening shower, I smile at the sight I have right now. The sight? Matt laying down in bed with our boys. They were both exhausted after having a bunch of fun here at the hospital with us. Sure, we decided to stay here because it's where our girls are but...we still made sure to prioritize our boys today since it was their birthday/first Christmas. Still can't believe that all 4 of our kids are celebrating their first Christmas on the same day. "Okay, remind me never to try and make a homemade cake again."

Matt looked up at me when I said that, smiling as he put his hand out for me to grab while looking at me. "They are pretty much fast asleep." I nodded and agreed with Matt when he told me that, really happy that was the case. Going to get in bed with him, I smiled as I came to get in bed right next to him. "To think, this is was our first Christmas with 4 kids." Matt nodded when I said that, smiling as I cuddled up to him. "I loved it. I especially loved the fact that your brother let us have a nice morning shower together." I laughed and agreed with Matt. "Loved that."

Matt just smiled when I said that before going to rub his back. That's when Noah turned to look at me and Matt. "Mama..." I smiled when he said that and then looked at Matt. "I think my cuddle partner is calling." Matt just looked at me when I said that. "Nope, because I'm your cuddle partner." I shook my head when he said that before going to get up again. Going to walk around our bed, I smiled as I looked at Noah and then went to pick him up. "Hey little guy, you happy to be here with mommy and daddy?" Noah nodded when I asked him that and smiled.

"I miss you at home mommy." I nodded and agreed with him when he said that. "Well guess what buddy...we just got news from the hospital. Mommy will be home in 7 weeks." Noah agreed with me and smiled when I said that, obviously really excited. Meanwhile, I went to sit down and just smiled at Matt. "I'm pretty excited for that...means I get my husband in a room to myself." Matt laughed and smiled when I said that, agreeing with me. "Oh, that sounds perfect." I just smiled when he said that. "I am so happy that we have all of the kids here." Matt agreed, smiling.

"And what's even better is that the doctors told us that our girls are out of the woods.' Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "Oh, when the doctor told us that....it was music to my ears." I smiled and agreed with him when he said that. She said that the girls are guaranteed to leave when we are scheduled to leave. She doesn't see any reason to keep them here longer. God, for her to come over Christmas was so sweet of her. It's something that she definitely didn't have to do...but she did because of how long she's been with us.

"Just curious, what does this mean for New Year's Eve...do you think you'd be okay leaving the girls here for a night if you wanted to go home?" I shook my head when Matt asked me that. "Sorry Matt but...I am going to stay here with the kids. But you go out." Matt shook his head when I told him that and just smiled at me. "Not a chance. I am going to be staying right here since I want my midnight kiss." I laughed and smiled when Matt told me that, loving that idea. "Can I get a nice kiss right now?" Matt nodded and agreed with me, coming to kiss me.

Taking it slow with Matt, I smiled because this was perfect. "I love you." Matt nodded and smiled at me. "I love you too." Kissing me again, Matt just smiled as we took it slow with each other this Christmas.
