Chapter 305

Matt's POV: After making my way downstairs, I smiled when I saw the boys in their chairs. God, they are so adorable and I already know that they spotted me based on how they are waving their arms. They always did that when I came downstairs because they wanted my attention. Going to walk over to the both of them, I smiled as I went to bend down and then leaned over Noah to kiss his cheek. "Hey little guy, how are you this morning?" Noah just smiled when I spoke to him. "Yeah, you missed daddy didn't you?" Bending down, I went to kiss his cheek.

That's when I heard Antonio walk out of the kitchen and smile at me. "Hey, you just wake up?" I nodded and agreed with him. "I didn't know whether you might need some help or not." Antonio shook his head when I asked him that. "You seem to forget that I've got 2 kids of my own." I nodded and agreed with him when he told me that. "Oh, I know that. Last time I checked, every time I see that niece of mine...she tries to get a piece of my paycheck." Antonio laughed when I said that and just agreed with me. "You want me to talk to her for you?"

I shook my head. "I'm trying to string her along. However, if she wants to come over and help...then I can pick her up on our way back from the hospital. However, she has to know that it's unpaid because you're here. Sorry but...if you're here, then she's not getting paid." Antonio nodded and agreed with me when I told her that. "Fair point." I smiled and agreed with him when he told me that before walking into the kitchen to see what he was making. "These smell good." Antonio smiled and agreed with me when I told him that. "My mom's recipe."

Turning to look at him, I just smiled. "Gabby's going to love that." Antonio nodded and agreed with me when I told him that. "I figured that was going to be the case." Going to walk over to the cabinet next to the sink, I smiled as I went to get some plates and cutlery out. However, it wasn't long before I head the boys making some noises. Turning my head to look at them, I got a bit worried...that was until I saw that they were just trying to interact with each other. And let's just say that's the most adorable scene that I have ever scene. God, my boys are so dang adorable.

"I swear, if your boys are this adorable...I can't wait to see your girls. You are going to be in so much trouble." I nodded and agreed with Antonio when he told me that because I was well aware of that. "Oh trust me, I'm scared of that." He laughed and just agreed with me when I told him that. "What does Gabby think of you being scared?" I shrugged when he asked me that. "It's going to be a learning curve for the both of us. However, I don't really think that Gabby's thinking about when we have the girls right now." Antonio was confused when I said that.

"What do you mean?" I sighed as I went to look at  him. "Promise me that this stays between us an you let me vent? I can't really do this with Gabby right now." Antonio agreed with me when I told him that. "Everything okay between you two?" I nodded when he asked me that. "Oh yea, it's not that...I just have this feeling that Gabby's worried about whether or not we are even going to meet the girls." Antonio gulped when I told him that, obviously scared. "And what are you telling her." I sighed. "I'm telling her that I'm positive we will and to think positively."

Antonio looked at me when I said that. "Want to tell me what's really on your mind?" I sighed when Antonio asked me that. "The truth is...I'm worried about it. I'm not sure what's going to happen and I'm worried about that. Heck, I'm our sole source of income right now...and I'm just worried to go to work. She says she wants me to go back next shift...so tomorrow. But..." Antonio just understood what I was saying. "You don't think that your head will be in it." I nodded and agreed with him. "I already took the next week off. I don't work until next Tuesday."

Antonio smiled when I said that. "I think that's the best case to tell you the truth." I nodded. "And I spoke to my bosses...I've reduce my shifts to only work 8-to-8. It's just too much for Gabby." Antonio got worried when I said that. "What do you mean by....it's just too much for Gabby?" I sighed. "I'm talking about me working 24 hour shifts as well as taking care of 2 boys in the middle of the night. I need to be here overnight so that she can rest. Heck, I have this feeling that Gabby has been overworking herself...heck, she may even be put on bedrest,." Antonio agreed.

"I wasn't going to say anything but...are you ready for that possibility? That would be a huge change for you guys. She'd basically be stuck in bed." I agreed with him. "At the end of the day, Gabby's my wife and I need to do whatever I can to make sure that she's safe. If that means that I need to step up more...then I'll do that without any complaints. My main priority until she gives birth is to make sure that she and our girls are safe and healthy." Antonio agreed with me when It old him that, clearly able to see just how worried I was for Gabby and our girls.

Coming to walk over to me, he just came to give me a hug so that he could give me some comfort. "You are doing a great job Matt. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise." I smiled and agreed with him when he told me that. "You have no idea how much it means for you to tell me that Antonio. I know that you are just as worried for Gabby as I am." Antonio agreed with me when It old him that. "And that's why I'm here. Matt, you aren't going through this alone. Let people help you with the boys. Heck, do you want me to take them to my place for a bit?"

I shook my head when Antonio asked me that. "I think it's best we just keep them here. Gabby needs them close so that she can see them whenever she wants. If they are at your place, that can't happen and she won't like that." Antonio agreed with me when It old him that, well aware of that I mean. "Isn't that the truth." I laughed and agreed with him when he told me that. "I'm going the right thing...right Antonio?" Antonio nodded when I asked him that. "Hey, of course you are. And remember, I would be the first one to tell you if you were doing something wrong."

I laughed and agreed with him when he told me that. "Now isn't that the truth." Antonio smiled and agreed with me when I told him that. "Shut up, you like it when I criticize you." I nodded and agreed with Antonio when I told him that. "Because I know that you do it out of love rather than criticism. You know that I'm scared right now and that you only want what's best for me, Gabby and our kids." Antonio smiled and agreed with me when I told him that. "Exactly, I'm glad that you understand that." I nodded and smiled at him. "But listen, Gabby needs food." He agreed.

Note to Readers: As of this chapter, Noah and Andy have started eating baby food.

"Sure thing. It's almost done...but how about you do me a favor and make some bottles for the boys while you're down here? If you can do it...it'll probably be easier for me to feed them. I mean, unless you want to feed them?" I shook my head. "No, that sounds like a good idea. However, we also have baby food that we are starting to transition them to now that Gabby is halfway through her pregnancy." Antonio agreed with me. "Luckily, I brought some spare shirts." I laughed and agreed with him. "I'll be up and down to help you during the day."

Going to walk back over to the fridge, I went to grab some of the food. "However, it's right here." Turning his head, Antonio went to look at it and just nodded. "Okay, sounds good." I smiled and agreed with Antonio when he told me that, knowing that he wasn't really paying attention. "Are you really paying attention?" Antonio nodded. "Matt, of course I am. I know you are worried...and that this is your way of coping. But seriously, I have your boys. I'm here as long as you need me." I nodded and agreed with him when he told me that. "I appreciate that."

Antonio nodded and smiled when I told him that. "And you are going to be upstairs with Gabby as much as she needs you. Concentrate on your wife and daughters Matt...let me take care of your boys." I smiled and agreed with him. "Maybe you can work on their spanish with them? I already know that Gabby wants them to be bilingual." Antonio smiled and agreed with me when I told him that. "I think that I can do that for you guys." I smiled and agreed with him when he told me that. "Sounds good. Now, how long until I can get some breakfast up to Gabby?"

Antonio smiled when I asked him that before going to put some pancakes on our plates. "Here, these are fresh off the pan. You can take them up. You go eat upstairs with Gabby. Matt, I'm here for you and I can just see how worried you are for her. Once again, I will take care of your boys. You take care of Gabby." I smiled and agreed with him when he told me that. "Sounds good. Now, I am going to get upstairs since we also have an appointment to get to." Antonio nodded and smiled when I told him that, already well ware of that. "See you soon." I smiled and agreed.

Grabbing the plates, I smiled as I went to make my way back upstairs to Gabby.
