thirteen: 2nd month clean
A LOT HAPPENED TO JED AND ME AFTER THE PARTY. We kissed, talked, and have sex a lot after going back to Manila. It was like our way of saying that we're not just friends anymore.
But we're not lovers. We act like lovers but we're not, we're far from that.
I tried my best to hide my new scars. Good thing they blend in my old scars, and they're slowly healing. No one noticed my new scars, and that's a good thing for me.
"What are you thinking?" I looked at him. We're laying in his bed after making out. I'm wrapped inside his arms as he plays with my hair.
"I'm thinking about my work."
35th.
I can't be open to him about my thoughts, maybe that's one of the many reasons why we can't be a couple. I can't be honest, and he thinks I'm the most honest person in this world.
"Why? Are you having a hard time?" Umiling ako bago yumakap sa bewang niya.
"Nope, I'm just thinking kung anong mangyayari sa'kin kapag natapos na ang contract ko sa Elysium. I might need to find a permanent firm."
"Hindi ka employee sa Elysium?" Umiling ako.
"Tinanggap ko lang 'yung project dahil kay Asteria." Hindi niya na daw kasi alam kung saan siya hahanap ng architect para sa project kaya tinanggap ko na lang. Nasa isip ko ay pera din naman 'yon at makakatulong 'yon sa'kin.
"Do you want me to find you a firm? I know someone-"
"No, I have a few in mind already. Thank you, though."
36th.
Actually, wala pa akong alam na pwedeng pag apply-an na firm. Pero ayoko namang madamay siya sa stress ko. And I'm sure I'll find a firm soon.
"You sure?" I nodded before closing my eyes.
"Yes,"
37th.
"Okay, then. Let's rest now, we'll be doing something tomorrow." I nodded as I felt him kiss my head as he continue to caress my hair until I fall asleep.
Pagkagising ko ay nakayakap pa rin ako kay Jed. I stared at him for a minute before getting up. I picked my clothes before entering the bathroom to shower. Narinig kong bumukas ang pinto, baka gising na si Jed at lumabas ng kwarto.
Matagal na rin kaming ganito, I go home to my apartment but it's a rare event to happen now. May mga damit at ibang gamit na din ako dito. Jaylanni and I have been close too since she sleeps here sometimes because she's either too drunk to go to her condo or too lazy to drive home. Walking distance lang kasi sa university ni Jaylanni and apartment ni Jed.
Nang matapos akong maligo ay nagpalit ako bago lumabas. Naabutan ko si Jed na may hawak na dalawang uniform ng university na pinasukan ko- Augustine International.
"Good morning," I greeted with a creased forehead. He pinched my cheeks, "Good morning," He handed me the other uniform.
"Are we going back to college?" Nagtatakang tanong ko.
"Kind of, 3rd item." He showed me his phone with a picture of my 'this year'. I looked at the 3rd item on our list.
"be a student for a day"
"How did you... What?" Naguguluhan ako. Paano kami papasok doon nang walang ID? At baka mapalabas kami dahil strikto ang school na 'yon lalo na sa mga visitors.
"Asteria's sister is the dean, and their mom used to be the dean too before they move to UK." Tumango ako bago tinignan ang uniform. Tinignan ko nang mabuti ang uniform.
