6 Weeks Later - March 27th, 2020: Matt's POV: As I lay down in bed shortly after waking up on me and Gabby's first day back at the firehouse (working together) since she came back to Chicago over 18 months ago, I smile considering this is going to be great. I just wish that it was for a better reason. I wish the reason she was coming back wasn't because we were in the middle of a pandemic and we need all hands on deck. Still, I'm just glad that she's going to be with me. I know that she's going to be worried and I can't blame her. But god, I really don't want to move right now. So sexy with her all naked on my chest. Yes, we ended our leaves with a nice round of fun before we go to work.
And let's just say that we had a bunch of fun. But now, it's time for us to wake up. Literally, my alarm is going off and Gabby is not happy about it. Going to snuggle up to my chest, Gabby buried her head into the crook of my neck. "Matt, shut it off. It's early." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before going to rub her back. "I agree that it's early babe...but it's also time for us to get up." Gabby just looked up at me when I said that. Meanwhile, I looked down and just smiled at her. "Today's the day." Pushing herself up, she looked at me. "Wait, you mean?" I nodded and smiled when Gabby asked me that. "Today's your first day back."
Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. She then bent down and came to kiss me softly. "So excited." I nodded and smiled when Gabby told me that. "By the way, thanks for asking your niece to come stay with your mom. It means that you didn't have to wake up early today." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, my brother said that we was okay with it. And he knows that my mom is going to need help." I smiled and agreed with her when she said that. "Isn't our family great?" Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I asked her that. Going to kiss her again, I smiled as we took it slow with each other. "Tomorrow morning?"
I smirked and agreed with her. "It can be a congratulations from your Chief on a job well done." Gabby smirked and agreed with me when I said that. "And it can be you thanking me for something I did." Gabby looked at me when I said that. "What'd you do." I smirked when Gabby asked me that. "Remember how I said that I didn't know which paramedic they were sending to be your partner on Ambo 61?" Gabby looked at me when I said that. "How long have you known?" I smiled at her. "I got it confirmed when I was there last shift. I wanted to tell you last night but...then we got close in bed." Gabby laughed and agreed with me. "Makes sense."
I nodded and smiled when she told me that before going to kiss her again. "So, who's my partner?" I smiled when she asked me that. "Let's just say that your gossip partner..." Gabby then went to stare at me. "Oh my god! You didn't!" I nodded and smiled. "Kelly said that she felt the same way. However, she also said that she's not ready to go back on truck. So, I told her that she can come back on Ambo if she wants." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that before going to lay down on my chest. Wrapping her arms around my neck, Gabby started to kiss me and just smirked as I went to put my hands on her back. "You're the best." I agreed. "I know."
Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that, starting to kiss me nice and slowly before going to get up off my chest. "Hey, where are you going?" Gabby smirked when I asked her that and then went to go grab her towel. "I need to get up and take a shower." I then went to go reach out for her hand and tugged her close to me. "I hope you know that you aren't going to be in the shower alone." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Going to lean over me, she smiled and then went to kiss me softly. "Then get up so that you can come join me in the shower." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, watching her walk away to the washroom. Meanwhile, I rolled over in bed and just smirked as I went to grab my towel.

"God, you're such a turn on." Turning to look at me, Gabby just smiled. "I know...but you love me." I nodded and just smirked as I went to put my towel on around my waist. "Don't I know it." Gabby then smiled at me and just went to reach out her hand. Going to walk around the bed, I smiled as I made my way over to her so that I could stand with Gabby. I know that she wants me...and I want her just as bad to tell you the truth. "By the way, you were great last night." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that, going to get close to me before putting her hands on my chest. "So were you." I nodded and smiled when she told me that.
Moving my hand to her neck, I just smiled and went to kiss her softly. Taking it slow with her, I smiled. "Listen, promise me that you come to me if you get worried? Babe, I know that you are stressed....and I know you aren't going to want to bother me at work because I'm going to be stressed. However, remember what I told you last night babe...I'm your husband first." Gabby just smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "I know, and I really appreciate that. But Matt, I promise that I'm going to be fine okay?" I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, knowing it was the truth even though I was worried. "Okay, let's get in the shower."
Gabby smirked and agreed with me when I told her that, going to grab my hand to lead me into the washroom so that we can take a nice morning shower together. ***********************************************************************
Gabby's POV: Once me and Matt made our way into the washroom this morning, I smiled as I went to walk over to the shower so that I could start it. "How about you shave babe? I need to shave anyways." Matt nodded and agreed with me when I told him that. "Just promise me that you are going to agree to talk to me if you get stressed. I meant what I said and that's never going to change." I smiled and agreed with Matt when he told me that, well aware of what he's talking about. "Of course babe. Now, I am getting in the shower. Can you please just shave and come join me?" Matt then smirked. "I'll shave after. I want to wash you." I agreed with him and smirked.
Going to take off my towel, I just looked at Matt before going to hang it up. Stepping into the shower, I could already tell that Matt was turned on. "Don't be long." Matt smirked and agreed with me when I said that. Going to check that the shower was warm, I smirked because I was ready to get in. Just going to step in, I smiled before turning to look at Matt since I left the door open. Smirking, Matt went to go take off his towel so that he could come join me in the shower this morning. "You are such a tease." I smiled and agreed with him when he told me that, really wanting him to hold me in his arms right now. God, he is so sexy and I love that he's my man.

Wrapping his arms around me as soon as he stepped into the shower, Matt smiled as he bent down and then kissed me softly. Running my hands down his chest as he did that, I smiled because this was great and exactly what I wanted right now. "God, you are such a turn on and I'm glad to work for you." Matt nodded and smirked when I told him that, pushing me back against the wall before putting his hand on my neck and bending down to kiss it softly. Moaning, I just smiled as Matt pleased me in the shower. "You like that babe?" I nodded and agreed with Matt when he asked me whether I liked it and just agreed. "Oh, I definitely. do."
Matt then smiled as he turned his head and went to start kissing me. Grabbing some soap, he moved his hands to my body and just smirked because I knew that this was exactly what he wanted to be doing right now. "God, you are so gorgeous babe and I feel so lucky to be your man." I smiled and agreed with Matt when he told me that. "And I feel so lucky to be your wife." Matt just smiled and agreed with me when I told him that, continuing to wash me this morning as we both held each other close in the shower. Picking me up in his arms, Matt wrapped my legs around his waist before putting his hands on my side. Bending down, he went to kiss my neck.
Going to grab the back of his head, I went to moan for him. "CHIEF!" Matt smirked when I said that and just moved his hand to the side of my neck. Going to turn it, he smiled and then went to kiss me softly. Taking it slow with him, I smiled because this was exactly what I wanted to be doing right now. "I love you Matt." Matt smiled and agreed with me when I told him that. "I love you too." Smiling as we took it slow with each other, I couldn't help but want him to take it nice and slow with me. This was absolutely perfect and I loved it.
