Matt's POV: After leading my sister upstairs to my office, I took a breath because I was nervous. I can't be mad at her...but I can be concerned. I mean, this is crazy. She has cancer? This can't be happening. I am still in shocked. This is similar to my dream...but instead of Noah having cancer, my sister. God, I can't loose another member of my family. Turning to look at her when Christie walked in, I took a breath. "Close the door." Christie just looked at me, a little confused as she went to close the door behind her. "Matt, you okay?" I then took a breath and looked at her.

"How are you feeling?" Christie seemed confused when I asked her that. "Good? I don't have COVID." I agreed with her. "I'm glad that's the case. Because that's the last thing we need to deal with right now." Christie just looked at me when I said that. "Christie, does Violet know?" That's when she started to realize what I was talking about. Walking over to the couch I had in here, she just went to sit down. I then went to go sit down with her and just got close to her. "Christie, I'm here for you. Talk to me." Christie then turned her head. "How did you find out?" I sighed.

Going to grab the paper, I went to show it to her. "This fell onto the ground." That's when Christie looked at the pamphlet. "Oh god, did she see it?" I shook my head. "I hid it. I promise that she didn't see it. I'm the only one who knows right now." Christie then took a breath and just turned to look at me. Going to grab her hand, I smiled at her. "Christie, I'm here for you. Talk to me." Christie agreed with me when I said that and nodded. "I'm scared Matt. Violet can't be alone in the world. Her dad can't take care of her alone." I shook my head when Christie told me that.

"I promise Christie, he won't. I'll still be in her life...and we're going to fight this as a family." Christie just got scared when I said that. "Matt, you can't. I need to keep your kids safe. I'll be immunocompromised. I can't put your kids at risk." I sighed when she said that and just went to grab her hand. "Christie, you're all I have left when it comes to biological family. Mom's dead, dad's dead....you, Gabby, Violet and my kids. That's all I have left." Christie agreed with me when I told her that and just nodded. "I know, sorry I didn't..." I shook my head. "Christie, no. Don't."

Christie just looked at me when I said that. "Christie, this is not your fault. You're scared...I can tell that's the case." Christie agreed with me when I said that and just sighed as she went to grab my hand. Smiling at her, I went to hold her and smiled. "Christie, you need to promise me that you're going to be safe in this. Or are you just going to live with it. If you have Chemo..." Christie agreed with me. "I'm going to start. I know that this might be the last time I see your kids for a while." I shook my head when she told me that. "Hey, that's never going to happen."

Christie agreed with me when I said that and just grabbed my hand. "Matt, I'm scared." I agreed with her when she told me that. "Christie, we will deal with this together." Christie then took a breath. "How? From my home?" I shook my head. "No. Christie, live here. I'll talk to Gabby and ask if you can move in. Are you working from home?" Christie agreed. "I told my boss that I have cancer...and he said to work from home." I agreed with her when she told me that and just smiled. "Well listen, I'm going to talk to Gabby and I promise that we're here for you."

She agreed with me when I said that and just hugged me. "I can watch your kids if you want." I smiled and agreed with her when she told me that. "Oh, that was definitely going to happen. I promise we'll be safe and get tested all the time. Christie, you are safe here. I will help you move in and we can get you nice clothes." Christie agreed. "Matt, I know I shouldn't think this way but...I am going to put you as Violet's guardian just in case. And I am going to give you my proxy." I shook my head when she said that. "Hey, let's not think that way." That's when I heard Gabby.

"Think what way?" Turning to look at her, I took a breath. "Come in here, we need to talk." Gabby just agreed with me when I said that. "You okay?" Christie then went to go give Gabby the pamphlet. Going to grab it, Gabby looked at it and was just shocked. "NO!" Christie nodded and agreed. "Matt and me were just talking how he said I can move in." I turned to look at Gabby. "Gabby, she needs someone to help her. I know that I should have spoke to you but..." Gabby shook her head when I said that and just went to sit down next to Christie to grab her hand.

"Christie, we're here for you...I promise." Christie agreed with Gabby when she said that. Going to rub her hand, Christie took a breath. "Thanks Gabby." Gabby smiled and agreed with her before going to hug her. "Trust me, I'm not going to complain that I have a permanent gossip friend here at home." I looked at Gabby when she said that. "Or a permanent babysitter. Wait, your mom." Gabby sighed. "I'll talk to her. Christie, you need family. You can stay here and let us help you...and in return, you can help with the boys. Maybe even babysit them?" Christie laughed.

"Doesn't your mom live here too?" Gabby agreed with her. "Yeah, room next to you. But I am sure that we're going to be fine. Does Violet know?" Christie shook her head. "I'm telling her this weekend. Just not tonight." I agreed with her when she said that and smiled. "We're here for you Christie." Gabby smiled and agreed. "Listen, how about you go upstairs and make the salad? I am going to talk to Matt for a quick minute?" She agreed and smiled. "Thanks guys." Going to get up, she then went to walk away. Meanwhile, I just took a breath and looked at Gabby.

"How are you feeling?" I took a breath and just sighed. "This is crazy...and just like my dream coming true. But instead of one of our kids, it's my sister." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. Getting up, she walked over to me and then went to sit in my lap. Wrapping my arm around her while she wrapped her arms around my neck, I just looked up at Gabby while feeling her hold me close. I then went to kiss her softly and just took it slow with her. Going to run her finger down my cheekbone, Gabby smiled before bending down to go kiss my neck softly.

Smiling, I loved what she was doing and just agreed with Gabby. "God, that feels amazing." Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I told her that. "I figured that you would. I promise that I am here with you okay Matt? I promise." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before going to pick Gabby up in my arms. "Want to try and sneak upstairs for a minute?" Gabby shook her head. "But I want you later." I nodded and agreed with her. "We ready for the girls to stay in their nursery?" Gabby smiled and agreed with me. "I think we are."

I smirked when she said that. "Then that's what we are doing tonight. I need a little bit of....comfort after I just learned this news." Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I said that before going to kiss me again. "We still have to relax with our family for a bit." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that and smiled at her. "Okay. But listen, let's just go upstairs right now." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that, going to get up before putting her hand out. Grabbing it, I smiled as I went to go follow Gabby out of my office and back downstairs.
