Hitting Reset Season 6: The Pandemic Begins

Chapter 393

Matt's POV: Once me and Gabby finished lunch, I smiled as I went to go set it down in the hallway so that my sister could come get it for us. We couldn't go downstairs since we are trying to isolate from the kids so...we can't exactly go downstairs unless they are out. Going to close the door again, I turned around to look at Gabby who was looking quite comfortable in bed. While we would much rather be with our kids...we agreed to keep them away so that we could keep them and (especially) my sister safe. That's when I walked over to Gabby and smiled at her.

"You ready to start those Datelines that you want to watch?" Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I asked her that. "Yeah, that sounds great." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that and just smiled as I came to join her in bed. Sitting down next to her, I went to wrap my arm around her and then smiled as she cuddled up to me. "So, which one are we watching?" Gabby smiled when I asked her that. "It's called 'The Black Widow of Lomita'. I haven't watched it yet but, it looks good." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. I then kissed her forehead.

Smiling, Gabby cuddled up to me and then wrapped her arms around my waist. Going to tug the covers up, I just smiled because I was very comfortable with now. "Want me to tug the covers up?" Gabby agreed with me when I asked her that and smiled as she came to cuddle up to me more before laying her head down on my shoulder. Wrapping my arm around her back more, I smiled as I went to kiss her forehead softly. "So, a navy guy eh?" Gabby agreed with me and smiled when she said that. "Yeah, I guess that's right. Honestly though, I could never marry one."

I looked down at Gabby when she told me that. "I hope so...I mean, you're married to me." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. Leaning down, I went to kiss her and just smiled as I took it slow with her. "I love you." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. Going to kiss her forehead, I smiled because of how comfortable we both were right now. "So, this is very comfortable." Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I said that. "Of course it is. I mean, you are in my arms." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "So, while we're here..."

Gabby just looked up at me when I told her that. "Anything on your mind that you need to talk to me about?" Gabby sighed when I asked her that. "I guess I am just worried. But you need to accept that's just going to happen. I mean, we may have COVID." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that before going to kiss her forehead softly. "Anything you really need to talk to me about?" That's when Gabby took a breath and sighed. "I am not sure to tell you the truth. But something I am starting to think about is whether I should even be working right now."

I looked down at Gabby when she told me that because I was shocked that she was even thinking that. "Gabby, where's this coming from?" Gabby just sighed when I asked her that. "I don't want to expose the kids Matt." I agreed with her when she told me that, going to kiss her forehead softly. I knew that she was worried and I just hoped that everything was going too be okay. "Gabby, I promise that everything is going to be ok. We're going to beat this if we're positive." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just took a breath. "You're right."

Going to rub her back, I smiled because of how comfortable we both were right now. "Babe, you need to relax okay?" Gabby agreed with me and just nodded as she  laid her head down on my chest. "Gabby, let's just concentrate on getting better." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and took a breath. "Gabby, things are fine." Gabby just agreed with me when I said that before going to look at the TV again. "You want a massage babe? Maybe that might make you feel better." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled as she came to sit up.

Once Gabby was sitting up in my lap, I smiled as I went to put my hands on her shoulders and then starts to give her a massage. Tugging the covers up on top of us, she smiled because she was very comfortable in my arms. "God, you are so good a giving massages." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, well aware of the fact that she loves it when I give her massages. "I hope that this makes you relax though babe." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled. "Yeah, I am pretty relaxed right now." I smirked and agreed with her.

Looking at the TV again, Gabby smiled. "God, it happened to another one of her husbands?" I laughed and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "I guess it did." Gabby just agreed with me when I said that and smiled as I continued to give her the massage that she needed right now. Bending down, I went to kiss her neck softly before wrapping my arms around her waist. "Oh baby." I just smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "You like that?" Gabby agreed with me when I asked her that and just smiled at me. "Oh yeah, I love that."

I laughed and just agreed with her as I went to kiss the top of her head. "Now this is exactly what I want to be doing right now. Sure, we could be safe elsewhere but..." Gabby just agreed with me when I told her that. "I know what you mean. Sure, we could be safe but...this is exactly what I want right now. I just want you to hold me." I agreed with Gabby and smiled. "You know, we could always isolate at a rental property with a pool or hot tub? Maybe interior one." Gabby looked up at me when I asked her that and smiled. "I'd actually like that. But is that legal?"

I sighed when Gabby asked me that. "I'm not sure. But it'd be nice. I would love to take a nice swim with you." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that. Bending down, I went to kiss her neck and just smirked because I was very comfortable right now. "Let's just stay here for a while. I want to think about it." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, going to kiss the side of her head as I held her close to me. "I promise that things are going to get better babe. I just know that you're worried...but things are going to get better." Gabby smiled and agreed.

Going to kiss her head again, I smiled because I was very comfortable. "Well, we do have our pool in the backyard. Or is it too cold?" Gabby laughed. "Matt, I'm comfortable. Stop asking me to move." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. Going to grab the back of her head, I smiled as I went to kiss her forehead softly. Holding her close to me, I was really happy right now because this is exactly what I want to do. "We can always take a bath later." Gabby shook her head. "We already did. Now shut up and just watch the TV." I laughed and agreed.

That's when I decided to bend down and just kiss Gabby softly. Taking it nice and slow with Gabby, I was happy. "I love you." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I told her that. "I love you too. But seriously, relax and remember that we are isolating right here. Babe, if the kids need us in an emergency...we are not leaving." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, understanding why she wants to stay here. "I'm sure that they'll be fine babe. But I understand why you want to stay." Gabby agreed and smiled at me when I told her that.

"Now, let's just relax. I'm comfortable." I laughed and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. Going to kiss her forehead softly, I smiled because I was really glad that we were doing this right now. Nothing like holding the woman I love in my arms while being very comfortable in bed.
