Hitting Reset Season 6: The Pandemic Begins

Chapter 358

"What would you think about my dad moving in during the pandemic?" -Erin

Jay's POV:
When Erin asked me whether I would be okay with Hank moving in, I took a breath because I knew that there has to be a reason for this. Turning to look at her, I went to close our door again and then got close to her. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I looked at her. "Hey, that was out of the blue. What's wrong Erin?" Erin sighed when I asked her that and went to put her hands on my arms. "I'm just worried about him. Jay, he lives alone and this is a health pandemic." I agreed with Erin when she said that before walking back over to our bed with her.

Going to sit on the edge, I just took a breath and watched as Erin did the same. Going to put my hand on her leg, I just took a breath and looked into her eyes. "Is there a reason why you're bringing this up Erin?" Erin shrugged when I asked her that. "I just want to talk about it. But I have a feeling you aren't really going to go for it." I shook my head when Erin said that and went to go grab her hand. "Hey, just take a breath and talk to me." Erin agreed with me when I told her that and just sighed. "I know, this is crazy and sudden." I then shook my head. "Not really."

Erin seemed taken aback when I told her that. "What?" I nodded and just smiled at her. I laughed and just agreed with Erin when she looked at me. "Ever since we learned about the pandemic, you've been more and more worried about him." Erin took a breath and agreed with me when I asked her that. "It's because of his age." I nodded and agreed with Erin when she told me that. "I know Erin." Erin then took a breath and sighed. "And listen, I get that this would be a challenge. Living with him will be hard for you but...god, I should have practiced what to say to you maybe."

I shook my head when Erin told me that. "No, you should've have because I know exactly why you are asking me this. You want him close to us so that you can have help with the kids...so we can have someone to help us with the kids. At the same time, we'll also know that he's safe coming into our home because he would be staying here with us." Erin agreed with me when I told her that and just took a breath. "I guess I would also just like some more help around here." I got concerned when she said that. "Hey, do you not think that I'm home enough? I can work here."

Erin took a breath when I asked her that. "It's not that at all Jay. It's just...we're having twins. And I know that as much as you are going to want to try and take care of Jayson and Emma at the same time....you have to admit that it'll be a struggle for you. I just think that it'd be nice to have a bit of help here. That and it might make me feel better just knowing he's safe with us rather than out there in the world. Might reduce my stress levels and..." I just agreed with her when she told me that. Going to grab her hand, I smiled at her. "Then he can move in."

Erin seemed shocked when I told her that. "He can?" I nodded and smiled when Erin asked me that. "Yes, yes he can. Erin...if it will reduce your stress, then I am going to let him move in. There is nothing that I won't do for you okay babe?" Erin just nodded and smiled when I told her that. Going to put her hand on my cheek, she just smiled and went to kiss me softly while putting her hand on my cheek. Grabbing her back, I smiled at her and then went to kiss her nice and slowly. "He has to go home tonight though." Erin looked at me when I said that. "Why?"

I just looked at her when she said that. "I need one more night of you know what before I let him move in. There is no way in hell that I am going until the end of this pandemic to have you in my arms once last time." Erin smirked and agreed with me when I said that. She then moved to get up and just smiled as she went to look at me. "Stay here." I nodded and smiled when Erin told me that. Watching her get close to me, I smiled as she came to sit on my lap before putting my hands on her sides. Moving her arms around my neck, Erin smiled as she kissed me softly.

Running my hands up her shirt, I just smiled because this was so hot. "You're the best husband in the entire world." I smiled and agreed with Erin when she told me that. "I know." Erin then went to slap my chest and just shook her head. "You're ridiculous." I smirked and agreed with her when she told me that. "And you're the love of my life." Erin smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. Wrapping my arms around her, I just smiled because of how comfortable we both were right now. This was absolutely perfect. "Kids go to bed early tonight."
