Chapter 340

Matt's POV: Once I made my way down to the main floor, I smiled when I saw our girls relaxing in the living room in their swings. "Thanks for getting the kids up Camila." Looking up at me, Camila smiled. "I knew that you would appreciate seeing your girls before you head to work." I smiled and agreed with her when she told me that before walking over to the front door. Going to set my bag down next to my laptop, I smiled as I just went to make my way back over to the living room so that I could see them. Walking over to the girls in their chairs, I smiled as I went to crouch down and just smiled when I saw Sofia smiling at me. "Hey you. God, you're so smiley today." Going to bend down, I smiled as she went to go kiss her cheek and neck softly.

She then started to laugh and just smiled at me. She then started to wave her arms and slapped my face. "Oh god, you love playing with daddy don't you?" That's when I decided to pick her up in my arms and just smiled as I bounced her. Looking at her, I smiled and just looked into her eyes. "God, you make it so hard to go to work. You are so adorable and I want to just cuddle up to you all day." That's when I heard Camila walk over to the living room. "Unfortunately, you decided to go back to work." Turning my head, I sighed. "Camila, you know why I have to go back. It's already been almost 9 months that I've been out...and they need more man power." Camila was shocked when I said that. "It hasn't been 9 months!" I agreed with her and smiled.

"Yeah, my little princess here were born in July." Going to kiss Sofia's cheek again, I decided that I was going to carry her towards the kitchen to have some breakfast. That's when Camila looked at me. "I swear, you are so adorable with your daughter." I smiled and agreed with her when she said that. "What do you expect though? This daddy loves his kids." Camila smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Turning my head, I smiled as I went to look at Sofia. Kissing her forehead, I smiled because I was so glad that I was holding her right now. "So, what are you thinking about going back?" I sighed when she asked me that and then proceeded to sit down at the table with Sofia in my lap. Getting her comfortable, I went to put my hand on her stomach.

That's when I went to kiss her head and just smiled at her. "Hi little girl, how are you doing? You comfortable here in daddy's arms?" Camila then smiled as she walked out of the kitchen so that she can give me some breakfast. "Here, I made you some breakfast." Turning my head, I smiled at her. "Thanks Camila." Camila nodded and agreed with me "Anything for my favorite Battalion Chief." I laughed and agreed with her. "I promise, I'm going to be safe. Me and Gabby are both going to be safe." She agreed with me when I said that and smiled at me. "I already fed the kids." I nodded and smiled when she told me that. "Thanks Camila." 

Camila nodded and agreed with me when I said that. "It's my pleasure." Going to grab my fork (which Camila just set down), I smiled as I went to go start eating the eggs that were set in front of my. "Oh god, these are delicious Camila." Camila smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "You like them I guess?" I nodded and smiled. "They taste great." She just smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "I'm glad. Is Gabby on her way down?" I nodded when she asked me that. That's when I heard Gabby. "I'm right here mom. Thanks again for staying to take care of the kids." Camila then laughed. "It's fine Gabby. You guys are doing a great thing."

I laughed when she said that. "More like I'm doing my job." Gabby just smiled and agreed with me when I said that. That's when Gabby looked at Sofia and just smiled at her. "Hey princess, you want to come to mama?" That's when I went to put my hand on her stomach and just looked up at Gabby. "You are not stealing her from me." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "Okay, I guess you are very possessive right now." I nodded and agreed with her when she said that, going to kiss Sofia's head. "You cozy here Sof?" Sofia then just went to slap the table and I smiled because of how adorable she was. "God, you are so adorable baby girl." That's when Gabby and her mom spoke. "Okay, I am so letting him hold her during breakfast."

Turning my head, I smiled at Gabby. "Let me guess, you like the sight of me holding our daughter?" Gabby nodded and smiled when I asked her that. "Yes, yes I do. Sorry I tried to steal her from you." I smiled when she told me that and just agreed with me. "It's fine babe. I know that you want to cuddle up to her...but I also want to cuddle up to her." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Just relax and take a breath. You both look adorable." I nodded and smiled when Gabby said that before going to take another bite of my eggs. "So, we going to go over the kids' schedule AGAIN?" Gabby laughed when I said that. "No. I need to relax and try and not think about the kids so I can concentrate on the job today." 

I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that and smiled. "Yeah, I'm pretty excited to have you back at work." Camila agreed with me when I said that. "I'm glad that you're going back to work Gabby. It's time." Gabby smiled and agreed with her mom when she said that. I then went to go grab her hand and just smiled at her. "And I'm proud of you Gabby. I know that you're scared...but everything is going to be okay because I'm here with you." Gabby nodded and smiled when I told her that. Going to put her hand on my cheek, she smiled at me. Getting up quickly, she then leaned in and went to kiss me softly. "I love you." I smiled and agreed with her. "I love you too. Now listen, I need to read some e-mails ahead of my briefing."

Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and smiled at me. "You worried?" I nodded and sighed when Gabby asked me that. "I'm trying to relax...but it's hard." Gabby just agreed with me while going to grab my hand and just rubbed it. "Matt, things are going to be fine I promise." I nodded and smiled when she told me that. "I'm just glad that you're going to be there with me." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "Forever." I just laughed and smiled before turning to look at Camila. "Camila, can you do me a favor?" Camila then went to look at me. "What's that Matt?" I sighed. "Can you maybe just stay at the house today? No going out without us." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "Oh definitely. Sorry mom but..."

Camila shook her head when we started to talk about that. "Hey, I understand the both of you. Just relax and remember that I Know you are all worried. You guys are going to be safe...and so am I with the kids. We are just going to stay home. Plus, I'm not sure if I could even handle 4 kids. But, I think that Antonio is going to drop Eva over to help me." I smiled and agreed with Camila when she said that. "Do you mind calling us if she comes? Oh and tell her she can stay the night then." Camila agreed with me and smiled. "Of course Matt. I know you are both going to be worrying all day. And I will call you guys every once and a while." Gabby smiled when he mom said that and just agreed with her. "That sounds great. Thanks mom." Camila smiled and agreed.

Turning to look at Gabby and smiled at her. "Well listen Gabby, we need to start eating so that we are on time." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, that's right. Mom, can you make the girls some bottles and maybe get the boys a jar and a small bottle ready?" Camila nodded and agreed with Gabby when she asked her that. "Of course Gabby. Now, you both eat up so that you guys can get to work on time." I smiled and agreed with Camila when she said that because I knew that we needed to get to work.
