Chapter 360

Back with the Caseys as Matt comes upstairs:
Matt's POV: As I come upstairs shortly after setting up our basement guest rooms for my sister and niece, I smiled when I came upstairs to see Gabby in the kitchen wearing a tight dress. I was a little shocked when I saw that...but I was not going to complain about the fact that she was wearing that. Quietly walking into the kitchen behind Gabby, I smirked as I went to stand behind her and then went to put my hands on her sides. Bending down, I went to kiss her neck from behind to tease her. Laughing as she leaned back against me, Gabby put her hands on mine.

"God, that is such a nice turn on." I smiled and agreed with her when she said that. "And so is this dress." Turning around in my arms, Gabby smiled as she looked at me. Stepping close to me, Erin put her hands on my chest and just smiled because of how happy she was right now. "I'm a lil' surprised that this is what you are wearing. However, don't you dare think that I want you to change." Erin agreed with me when I told her that and smiled. Stepping close to her, I went to put my hand on her neck and smiled as I went to kiss her softly, taking it slow with her.

"Later baby, later." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before feeling her wrap her arms around my waist. Going to put my hands on her arms, I smiled as I just held her close to me before kissing her forehead softly. That's when I looked at what she was making and smiled. "These my favorite steaks?" Gabby nodded and smiled when I asked her that. "I was going to make them for you tomorrow to celebrate our first day back but...I thought we could do it tonight instead. Plus, I am sure that Christie and Violet would like to have some steaks too."

I nodded and smiled. "Last time I checked, they were both still meat eaters." Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I told her that. "You need me to do anything?" Gabby smiled. "Can you grab some potatoes. I texted your sister...they want mashed potatoes instead of salad." I agreed with Gabby when she said that before going to walk over to the cupboard. Bending down, I went to go grab the potatoes and then smiled as I walked over to the counter so that I could grab the pot Gabby already got out for me. "Let me guess, you already have the menu ready for me?"

Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I asked her that. "Of course I do. What do you expect? This is me you are talking about." I nodded and just smiled as I went to grab a paper towel so that I could peel the potatoes. "Uhm, do you want me to make them extra soft so that we can start feeding them to the girls?" Gabby turned to look at me when I asked her that. "God, I haven't even thought about that. Do you want to start them on solids?" I shrugged. "Well, they are almost 9 months old now." Gabby just took a breath as she looked at me. "You okay?"

Gabby sighed. "I guess, this is just a conversation I'm not really ready to have. Thinking about our babies starting solids." I then thought about it and just agreed with her. Shaking my head, I smiled at her. "I know, it's a lot to think about." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just let out a sigh. "I think we should." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "Yeah, I feel the same way. We can take it slowly if you want." Gabby nodded and smiled when I asked her that. "I think that's what we're going to do. I am not going to be ready to go fast." I agreed.

"But do you want to try and feed them some tonight?" Gabby agreed with me when I asked her that. "And that also means that we need to start thinking about them moving out of our room." I agreed with Gabby when she said that. Going to walk over to her, I smiled and then went to wrap my arms around her. Going to kiss her forehead, I smiled as she went to wrap her arms around my shoulders. Going to kiss her forehead, I just smiled because of how happy I was right now. Looking down at her, I went to kiss her softly and smiled as I took it slow with her.

"Do you need me to do anything?" Gabby was about to answer when she heard the door. "Go get your sister and let her in. Help her with her bags." I smiled and agreed. "I'll bring the bags to the basement bedroom too okay?" Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that, letting her go. Meanwhile, I went to walk over to the front door so that I could let me sister and niece in.

Once I let Christie and Violet into the house, I smiled as I went to hug them both. "God, it's nice to see you both here." She agreed with me and smiled. "Something smells good." I nodded and smiled. "Gabby's making mashed potatoes and steaks." Christie agreed with me. "I'm going to go help. Can you take my bags downstairs?" I nodded and agreed with her. "Sure, I can talk to Violet at the same time." Christie smiled and agreed with me. "Oh, where are your kids?" I sighed. "Later. Right now, they are taking a nap in their rooms." She agreed and smiled. "Violet, help your uncle." Violet agreed and smiled as we both went to grab our bags.

"So, how are you kid?" Violet laughed when I asked her that. "Good. Trying to just figure this all out." I agreed with her when she said that. "And what 'this' are you talking about?" Grabbing my sister's bag and laptop, I went to go carry them through the house. "Gabby, I'm doing the bags." She agreed. "Go ahead Matt." I nodded and agreed as I went to lead Violet downstairs. "Uncle Matt, I think you already know what you're taking about. You talking about me coming out?" I agreed with her when she asked me that. "I just want to make sure that you know I really am on your side." She agreed with me and just smiled when I said that. "Not my dad."

I shook my head. "Are you living with your mom now basically?" She agreed with me when I asked her that and smiled. "Yeah. It's not fun living with my dad anymore." I agreed with her when she said that and just sighed. "Just live with your mom." Violet laughed. "Yeah, I told my dad that's what I'm going to do. If he can't accept me, then he isn't going to get to see me." I nodded and agreed with Violet when she told me that. "Oh definitely, I'm on your side Violet...no need to justify your actions to me." Violet smiled when I told her that as we got to the main floor. "So, how was your first shift back at work?" I sighed. "Stressful. But it went pretty good."

Violet agreed with me when I said that and smiled at me. "Just make sure that you're safe." I nodded when she told me that and smiled. "I promise. I'm going to be safe Violet, that was always the plan. Believe me when I say that because I have my kids to take care of." Violet smiled when I said that. "God, you are probably so worried." I nodded and agreed with her. "That I am." Going to walk over to her guest room, I smiled. "This is your guest room." She agreed and smiled as she went to walk in. Meanwhile, I went to walk into what was going to be my sister's room for a while. Going to set it down on her bed, I smiled when I was about to walk out when I saw a paper fall down.

I decided to bend down and grabbed it. That's when I went to read it.

I was shocked. Christie has cancer? Going to put the paper in my pocket, I went to leave the room and just went to go walk out.

As I went to walk upstairs again, I just took a breath and looked at Christie. "Christie?" Christie then turned to look at me. "Yeah Matt?" I just looked at her. "Can I speak to you upstairs in my office please?" Gabby then turned to look at me. "Everything ok Matt?" I bit my lip. "After, I want to talk to my sister first." She agreed with me, seeing that I was worried. Looking at my sister, I went to lead her upstairs so that we can talk about her cancer.
