23. Problems & more problems

School has been okay. It's no different from any other school educational wise. Camilla has made it her mission to get him to be social. They share four classes together.

First, third, fourth and sixth period. Despite also holding conversations with her friends who are the jocks and a few girls, she tries speaking to him.

He's not a rude person and doesn't want her to feel as if he's being rude or ignoring her therefore, he says a few words back. She's aware he's not a talker or social person so she doesn't push for him to speak.

Although she holds conversations with herself which are supposed to be conversations with him, though they fail due to his lack of speaking, he's learned a few things about her over the few days.

Can't say the same for her. School no longer was awkward after an entire week. It was never awkward to him but it's not within a certain boundary anymore. It's to get to work, not getting to know everyone anymore.

All that was cool. Besides constantly seeing his mate get bullied by girls and boys every single day. He has one class with Cèsar and another class with one of his friends whose name is Yuri. He shares no classes with his mate which makes things easier.

Ryan soon found out that she was a Junior and he was a senior. He was in advanced classes that also had Juniors but she wasn't in any one of them. Meaning she was just an average student. At least in his eyes she was.

With him, he's not the same as his wolf. They're different people with different minds. He doesn't see his mate as his mate. It's his wolf's mate.

He feels the need to protect her. Not Ryan. He feels drawn to her, not Ryan. He's just a host and is forced to act within his wolf's feelings.

He didn't plan on using his magic but when he's in class with the two tweebs, he has to keep his wolf under control which calls for magic. Also considering his wolf loves to purposely seek out Iymani during lunch.

Sometimes he doesn't seek her out. It just happens that they bump into each other, and she's being bullied. It seems as if she's bullied every second of the day. He doesn't try helping because he's her mate, but because it's wrong.

The actual him wouldn't care as much. Only person he's ever cared for is Gio. But because he has part of him that he just can't get rid of unless he rejects her to care, then he cares. Also because she's a female being harassed by males.

However, she reminds him over and over she doesn't want his help and it gets him and his wolf tight.

Therefore, he's now slightly familiar with the feeling of using magic. Meeting her pushed him slightly back from trying to be human. She's messing things up for him and he doesn't like it.

Grabbing his backpack, he exited his room and stopped in the middle of the hall. "I don't know why y'all keep waking up. I don't need you to tell me to have a nice day every morning" He spoke normally as they could hear him from the kitchen.

Clearly irritated already, he walked down the hall and entered the kitchen where the twins and Legend were. They were eating cereal while Legend was just standing there no doubt waiting for him.

"We were actually already up. Your alarm doesn't exactly only wake up one person" Lucien informed him. "And what about Legacy? She can't hear it so what's your excuse?" He looked up at her.

"Ryan, is something wrong?" Legend chimed in. "Yea you seem cranky which is a never thing. Well besides these past few days" Legacy added.

"Well I don't know. Let's start with, I met my mate the first day of school, I was forced to use my magic and I'm still forced to use my magic so I think that sums it up" He snapped.
