"Don't bother them. They need to rest" Travion quietly shut the door behind him. The kids all moved around and went downstairs to leave Sossi and Victoria to rest in their room.
He felt a lot of tension now he had been there. His kids couldn't stop looking at him like he was some type of Legend or very infamous. They didn't live on his pack grounds, therefore he stuck around just in case anyone else came back.
Though he doubts they would. "Sossi!" Everyone's head turned in the direction of the door. You could hear the keys smack against the counter as Corey rushed down the hall screaming Sossi's name.
However, when he saw Travion, his words got logged into his throat. "Travion" He said softly. Corey couldn't believe his eyes just like the kids couldn't believe there's. Travion, the one everyone loved, had been sitting in their living room.
Hearing the door open again, Quincy walked into the room and felt the tension going on. Travion wondered who Quincy was, but wouldn't say anything just yet.
"You- How- Your-" Corey kept speaking and yet wasn't saying anything. "My humanity isn't off" He said for him since he couldn't get it out. "Where's Sossi?" Quincy questioned as he ignored the tension.
For some reason the first thought that sprung to Travion's mind was Quincy was her mate. Yet he only showed care. He could've been a friend. Except his scent lingers in the house and on Sossi.
"She's resting and is not to be disturbed" Travion answered since everyone else was quiet. Standing up from the couch, he stared at Quincy and Quincy only stared back. He was unafraid, but in a respectful way.
He was an Alpha. One with an awoken Alpha. "I have to go" He stated. Averting his eyes away from Quincy, he spoke directly to Corey. "Wait. You just got here. Shouldn't you stay longer?" He tried to convince him.
Travion ignored him and began walking towards the door. He knew he was speaking in terms of the kids, but he also had Asher waiting for him. "Travion!" Corey raised his voice to get his attention.
Which he did and Travion turned around to look at him. Corey stared back as he didn't notice the blood on him before. For a second he just wondered why he wasn't wearing a shirt but didn't ask.
"You finally see your kids and you leave this quickly?" Corey questioned. It wasn't all for their benefit. Corey saw Travion as a brother just as much as he saw Sossi as his sister. He missed him too.
"I have to take care of something. Have Silas put up a barrier and stay in the house until I get back" Travion demanded. Before Corey could say anything, he vamped off heading back into the forest.
He wanted to catch up with his children too. After all, they don't know anything about him. He knows them because he did the thing Iris did. Lurked around as they grew up. But they waited fifteen years. They can wait another day.
Entering the house he left Asher, he went to the basement to see the door was laying on the floor. He bust the door down. "Asher" Travion called his name. He entered the basement and saw nothing there.
However, the blanket on the bed was gone, yet there was no body. "Asher!" He raised his voice in hopes he would respond back. The house was tiny, so it wasn't much to check.
Downstairs at least. Heading upstairs, he smelled blood and vamped into the room. What he saw had confused him. Asher was sitting in a chair with an opened blood bag on the bed.
Yet the weird part was Asher was sitting across the room just staring at the blood. "Ash" He spoke silently. Asher knew all about transition. The hunger, blood lust, everything. He had been testing his control.
