Walking up to the house, she looked left and right to see if Quincy was there. After their moment, she walked off and sat in the truck for about ten minutes waiting for him. She wanted to give him space because she knew what her words did to him.

But ten minutes turned into twenty. She went back out to get him, but she found his clothes ripped on the ground and realized he shifted and left. She didn't mean for this to happen.

She didn't plan for him to come to her job. She was truthfully happy to know he came to her job and sat there for three hours until she got off. It warmed her heart. But reality hit when she came out the back with her stuff and he was gone.

She couldn't let herself fall into this mate stuff. She's been getting a handle on not seeing him or speaking to him. It was slightly getting easier.

She had hopes of telling him he was destined and had no choice in the matter about who he loved, he would want to reject her.

He'll look deeper into his feelings and see they aren't his, but his wolf's. But he didn't see it that way at all. Instead it got more difficult because he kept expressing himself to her and she had to be the one to break his heart.

He was getting upset and she was trying to explain she's doing this for both of them, but all he saw was an excuse to use her siblings. It wasn't an excuse, it was the truth and he couldn't accept it. She didn't expect him to kiss her, but she couldn't pull away from it even if she tried.

She practiced not speaking and that was hard. But kissing him was something she couldn't overcome. Being able to directly touch him is a feeling that's far harder to ignore. She found herself being trapped in his kisses.

His soft and juicy big lips she couldn't pull away from and when he pulled her closer to him, it became harder to fight and easier to embrace. She wanted to feel him directly. For their skin to be contacting.

It felt better when she was able to touch his neck and she felt relaxed. Everything about that moment felt relaxing and calming. Their gentle and innocent kisses were now becoming more guilty as she invaded his mouth with her tongue, but she couldn't help herself.

When he gripped her by her ass, she was wishing he would pull her up and wrap her legs around him. The trees looked comforting at the time until he pulled away from her.

"Be with me Sossi" He whispered to her. Those words were replaying the entire time she was driving back home. At the same time, she was wondering where he was or if he was safe. She just wanted to know he was okay.

But what pained her was knowing he was not. She didn't know how much she had to fight for her wolf not to shift and find their mate. When she lost, she went into hiding. She can't feel her and she knows she's sad just as she is.

Opening the door, she really had her hopes up that his scent would come crashing against her, but it didn't. He wasn't here.

Disappointed, she walked into the house and went straight past her siblings and Corey who were grabbing plates and their pizza boxes sitting on the counter.

"Where's Quincy? He went to come pick you up" Corey asked as he didn't look up from the pizza. Going into her shirt pocket, he looked up at the sound of the rattling keys and she handed them to him.

"He shifted and took out for the night. Didn't say why or where he was going" She told the truth. She knew why, but didn't know where he was going.

She was about to walk away when Corey handed his plate to Prime who was about to get his own pizza, but didn't say anything.

"You're going to look for him?" She asked, walking back over to him. He seemed worried and worried is what she didn't like. "Didn't think to go after him?" He asked her in irritation.
