Pacing back and forth, Ryan was impatient, worried and afraid for what he would get with Iymani after she awakes. She wanted to be a vampire and now she could get her chance.

He didn't know if he would allow her to or not. She isn't the forgiving type and he knows she will kill with no care once she turns. First people she'll go after are her bullies. What will she say to her parents? Will she kill them?

What does this mean for him? If she turns, she'll definitely feel the mate bond from being supernatural. It would cause problems considering she'll long for him and feel drawn to him.

Being a vampire could heightened her senses and cause her to be possessive and territorial. What if she harms Camilla? No, he wouldn't let that happen. Yet he's a werewolf. She would be stronger if she fed on humans all day.

What if that's the first thing she does? Go seeking for blood. She'll be going through blood lust and being a newborn, her mind would be on blood.

What could he do if it happened? Could he kill her? No he wouldn't be able to. He wasn't a killer. He couldn't use the self defense excuse either because she wouldn't be able to harm him after she drinks his blood to transition.

He thought of a blood bag or someone else, but she could accidentally kill someone and a blood bag wouldn't help. She could complete the transition, but if she would attack him before the blood bag.

Staring at her, his hand elevated to his mouth as his fingers spaced apart over his nose. Thinking and slightly stressed. It was her life but why does he feel like he's in charge of it? As if he has to make the decision for her?

Too bad it already was. Who was the vampire that did this to her? What did he mean about asking Legend? What was going on? His life just keeps getting crazy and crazy.

Closing his eyes, slumping back in the chair, he tried relaxing himself and calming himself down. Yet it was hard. Part of him couldn't focus because he was trying to figure out what was going on and who the vampire was.

Part of him despised seeing his mate laid on the bed technically dead until she awakes in a place neither dead nor alive. But simply in the middle till she drinks blood. Because he knows she will.

Another part of him is angry at the vampire. Angry at himself for letting it happen. He didn't like Iymani after what she did, but he cared for her and that wouldn't change over a few days.

Seeing someone die, someone who was his mate, and his friend was challenging. Feeling the bond break was testing. Separating him and his wolf's feelings was easy when she was alive.

When she died, his world felt like it was destroyed and he couldn't help it. Remembering brushing her hair out of her face as her head laid on his lap while he held her. Brought their heads together as he silently cried.

Magic couldn't help him. It was something that would happen to everyone. Even to a rejected wolf. You will feel pain. Even knowing she would choose to live, he wished she would want to live again. Yet to die a human death knowing everything she could do.

Grunting loudly as she felt the pain in her neck, Ryan immediately jumped out his seat to rush to her side. He didn't know why he acted so impulsive but he didn't try to think about it.

"Iymani" He whispered quietly to where he couldn't even hear himself. He just knew he did speak. Hearing him in a regular tone would appear very loud and he was aware of her sensitivity.

It was dark outside already, but he took extra precautions and concealed every window in the hotel room with curtains. Leaving only one lamp on which was sitting on the dresser far from the bed she was laying on.
