Looking at the long artificial flowers hanging amongst the trees, they were all white and to Ryan looked like cotton. There were many flowers near him, and also many flowers at his feet.

The area he was currently standing in had been swarming with multiple vampires. Each one carrying white chairs and setting them down next to each other. Lining them up perfectly, they had been facing in the opposite direction.

Turning around to see behind him, it had been a casual, common altar. Canvassed in multiple white flowers with two big pots of flowers on each side of the altar. It looked like mushrooms to him.

He didn't even notice until now he had been standing and suffocating many flowers underneath his feet as multiple crushed flowers were laid out on the ground.

All this for a fake wedding. A wedding for power. Whether he wanted to admit it, the setting had been beautiful. But he knew he'll never have the chance to do this for someone he loved.

No. She was gone.

"Hey" He heard the sound of a shy and soft voice that's rarely shy or soft. "Sossi" He greeted her without turning around. His back had been facing her and he stared at the setting. Wedding's were fairy tales.

It ended all sweet and for one day you're full of smiles and cheer. Then life finally hits. Life is no fairy tale.

"I'm sure you don't want to hear this as it happened weeks ago, but I never got to tell you I'm sorry for your loss. I hardly knew Camilla, but she seemed like a nice girl" She told him. He had been irritated at the sound of her name.

Sossi and him haven't spoken in years and that's the first thing she decided to say.

"What do you want?" He asked rudely. Turning around to face her, their eyes locked. He didn't intend to be intimidating, it was natural. Holding eye contact has always been something he'd always done.

Her feeling so awkward, she averted her eyes and it irritated his soul.

"I wanted to send my regards. We haven't spoken in years and I know you're going through a lot. I just want you to know I'm here if you need me. We're family".

However, Ryan had it printed in his mind, his only family was Gio. Her words meant nothing.

"Sossi!" The two heard a male's voice. Neither peeked to see who it was as they both knew who it was. Quincy. The one Ryan believed has corrupted Sossi.

She's never been evil, but she's never been nice or shy or empathetic either. He didn't need to be around her to know about her. Just as she wasn't around him and knows about his life.

"Ryan. I haven't gotten to actually meet you" Quincy stated. Ryan was uninterested in meeting Quincy as he could care less for meeting him. "You're an Alpha" Ryan stated. He had been surprised to sense he was an Alpha.

He respected his strength. Ryan always admired those who were strong. Even the ones he's killed. Such as the twins. They weren't weak for dying at his hands. They just weren't motivated enough.

One thing Ryan didn't share with his mother. Her cockiness. "Good luck" He encouraged him. Walking past the couple, they had been left clueless. Though it was quite simple.

Alphas have demanding demeanors and they don't take orders from others. Alphas are usually dominant. Even the women.

Good luck, referring to their relationship. Sossi wouldn't take his orders and neither would he. Soon they'll have to decide if Sossi would be his Luna or she'll have her own pack and be an Alpha.

Sossi was already an Alpha. Her siblings are her pack and she won't hand her pack over to Quincy.

"That's it?" Quincy turned around. His voice stopped Ryan as he knew who he was speaking to. "No cousin speech? No threats about if I ever hurt her?" Quincy questioned. He expected that mainly from all the males in her family.
