63. Soon to be Mine

Ryder had taken up Travion's suggestion to visit Isabelle and get answers. Maybe if she didn't know something either, she would back down due to danger they didn't even know they were in. Maybe realizing that targeting a Tribrid and his family was a bad idea.

However all of that flew out the window when he got involved in a fight with her vampires. This is what they were afraid of happening if Travion was to show up with him. However this time, it had been Celeb.

He was speechless at first to see Celeb ripping through her vampires like it was nothing. Yet his eyes were gold so he was using his hybrid strength and speed. He was also a beast in combat.

Good enough to hand a sixty thousand year old vamping his ass- Legend. However he was being overwhelmed with vampires and one almost took his head off. That's when Ryder intervened and let's say the fight had been more than fair.

He didn't intend on fighting because he hated bloodshed, but seeing his grandson, his first grandson at that, to almost die right in front of his eyes, it brought back out that monster he's always suppressed.

It came out when Isabelle threatened Ryan and he realized how much power she had over their family. She knew where to hit all of them and hit hard.

By the time they took on the first group of vampires, they both stood bloody in their expensive suits. By their similarities, you would believe they were son and father. Though technically, they had that type of relationship.

Even after minutes of fighting and killing, they slaughtered many vampires and weren't tired. They stood over many vampires laid out on the ground. Some heads missing, hearts dropped, drained bodies, ripped out throats.

The scene was horrifying and they fought with no mercy and no intentions of prisoners. Only to kill. It made Celeb smile to see that side of Ryder because he never saw it before. It was surprising, but good.

It was a reason Ryder was a good King and the head of their family. They all could get bloody when it comes to their family, but Ryder wasn't the man everyone saw. He indeed was a monster.

Hearing feet, they knew more vampires were coming to attack and they stood fearless and confident. One vampire came running from the group and ran straight at Celeb.

Only to be met with Ryder's fingers wrapped around his throat. Staring him down with those crimson red irises that only showed evil and darkness.

He didn't allow the vampire to breathe at all as his bones began to crush and his head popped off like a bottle cap when you squeeze the air out the bottle too hard. Then right after, he kicked the head to the group of hissing vampires.

The vampire that was beheaded seemed to be the leader of the little clan because they all lunged towards them. Only to be stopped by their Queen. She was the one who called the vampires on Celeb when he barged in.

She intended for him to die. Yet was shocked when instead of him dying, her vampires were and even more shocked when Ryder came out of nowhere to help. She would've allowed her vampires to attack again, but after seeing the leader of the clan beheaded by Ryder, she realized it would be a mistake.

She vamped from the stairs and stood in front of Ryder and the vampires immediately stopped. She didn't want to see anyone else from her family die. Internally she was sad, but she couldn't show that. She couldn't show she was a horrible Queen who allowed this to happen.

It seemed everyone had a role to play and intended on keeping it. She ordered them to leave and keep a few to stay to clean up the mess as she was welcoming to both Ryder and Celeb. She invited them upstairs to get cleaned and Ryder didn't refuse.
