Seeing her walk out of the house, she walked around the car and hopped inside. "Thank you for picking me up. We're going to be so late because of me" She said dramatically.

They're not that far from school and they haven't even opened it yet. He doesn't know how long it takes her to get to school, but maybe that's why she's assuming they'll be late.

"It's fine. Anything to help out a friend" He informed her. He hasn't declared them friends yet, but they're pending friends as he and Camilla once were.

They didn't say they were together, but he and Camila are just focused on getting to know each other. Not much of justifying their relationship.

He just knows friends aren't something he would call it. Since Iymani is his mate, he can't necessarily stay away from her completely or his wolf could possibly go dormant if he continues to suppress him. If he's around Iymani, it brings him out to breathe a little.

Her scent still lingers in his brain, she still looks beautiful to him, he still likes everything about her, but he's keeping it strictly friends. They'll be able to coexist later.

He hasn't decided if he is going to reject her in the future because he may not have to, but he'd be a fool if he believes they can stay friends forever even though they're mates.

He's interested in Camilla and he has to remind himself every time he's with Iymani because of this bond.

Putting the car in reverse, he backed out her driveway and they were off to school.

"About friends," She said nervously. "If you're going to lecture me again about what can happen to me by being your friend, I think we can forget that. I'm not going anywhere so you should get over it" He advised.

Every time she reminds him of her bullies and every time it pisses him off. It's like she doesn't want a friend. When they're hanging out, he's usually the talkative one. It's like him and Camilla again when he's Camilla and she's him.

"No. I mean yes that's what I was going to say but also, because you're taking a risk by being my friend, I feel like I should tell you why I get bullied. I owe you that if you get bullied too".

Owe him? Don't think so. Besides, he can't be bullied. You have to care to be bullied. "You owe me nothing. That's personal so keep it to yourself. If you feel like you still want to tell me later, tell me when you're ready" He turned his head to look at her.

He wanted her to know that he was serious. It takes forever to open up to him. He still hasn't opened up about anything to Camilla. They need time and he understands that.

"I get bullied because of my sister". Despite what he said, she still goes into it. "Iymani I-" She had cut him off. "You said tell you when I'm ready and Ryan I'm ready. Just let me speak. Please" She turned to face him and he did the same to glare into her eyes.

He wasn't going to make this hard, so he nodded his head.

"My sister, her name was Rose. This kid named Albert used to bully her. He was a popular kid so no one did anything. She told his parents and they told the principal and nothing happened. She just got bullied more.

One day, she was doing fine in the morning but during school hours, they were in the cafeteria eating lunch and a kid came out of nowhere yelling there was someone outside the school and they were dead.

Teachers tried calming everyone, but people were panicking and a lot were rushing outside to see the body. I was one of those kids to see the body. It was far off near the forest and everyone couldn't believe what they witnessed".
