"For starters, a Coven is a group of Witches. In covens, there are different names for the leaders but the one I'm familiar with is called High Priest and High Priestess.

Covens are created based on power and the type of magic they use. One is Earth Magic. Earth magic is magic provided by the earth. That's the source of a Witch's magic. Those who practice earth magic are usually the good ones and the ones who love nature.

Two, Ancestral Magic. That's when witches get their magic from their ancestors. When they are passed on, their coven left behind gets to use their power.

Unlike Earth magic, Ancestral magic is limited. Their ancestors can take away your ability to use their magic or you'll be a puppet. Like a ghost, they'll hunt you and you have to do what they say.

If not, Ancestors get angry and they can perform spells on you themselves. Even as dead people, they are still alive to their coven". Which sucks because why harm your own coven?

"Three, Black magic. These are the dark and evil witches who use their magic for bad. They perform curses and hexes and necromancy. Black magic witches are usually the strongest because of the magic they use.

These witches don't have a coven because the majority of witches don't agree with them using it. All witches teach their kids never to use black magic because of the dangers of it.

It's also really addicting. You get to feel all of that power, you go out taking other witches' power. Four, Sacrificial Magic. Just as the name says, witches get their power by sacrificing things.

It's the immortal type of magic used to draw power from death of a witch victim, which, depending on who or what is sacrificed, has the potential to make the witch not only mystically enhanced, but also physically stronger".

He finds that really disturbing to know someone is sacrificing a living thing just for power. Why not sacrifice yourself? Do them all a favor.

"Five, Blood Magic. It's a magical type that refers to the mystical properties found in non-human blood. Blood from different supernatural species possess different uses, notably from a Doppelganger and can be used in certain spells.
