{Cain's POV}

I walk into the bathroom to get cleaned up. I turn the doorknob and push. Something heavy was lodged behind the door so I pushed harder and the door creaked open.

I look behind the door to see what was blocking my way. My eyes were covered with foam so I couldn't see that well but what I did see was unmistakable. I rushed to the sink to clear my ryes to make sure I was seeing right. Sure enough when I turned around I saw a body.

Not just any body.

Mae.

I kneeled down covering my mouth in fear. My jaw dropped and I hovered my shaking hands over her body. I lightly touched her neck to check her pulse.

I left my hand there waiting for a signal. My heart raced and pounded in my ears. I waited and tears streamed down my face. My hand began to shake and I was contemplating if I should move my hand or not. I took a breath in to brace myself to move my hand and I felt a pulse.

I sighed in relief and examined her body. It was beaten and bruise black and blue. Her eye was outlined in a black bruise that had turned a greenish-purple state.

Her legs were chopped up along with her arms. Her hair was in a mess and one part hand been accidentally clipped off. There was blood, and a lot of it. The think red blood oozed out of her body faster than her body could recover from it.

I sighed. There was nothing I could do. This is all my fault. I should have asked her where she was going to be. I still don't even know if she even left the house. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't, I couldn't tell. She lived a sad miserable life even when I was in it and I probably made it a living hell. I was stubborn and I want to apologize. I'm never going to forgive my self for letting her go. She was my closest friend ad I couldn't let her go, it would kill me.

I looked down at Mae, my tears dripping off my face knowing that I could do something but that I was to dumb to realize. I didn't know what to do.

Mae's eyes were closed from being unconscious so I couldn't see their beauty. When I look at her eyes, they fluttered open I gasped in shock and reached down and hugged Mae. She smiled before it went limp.

"Mae? MAE!" I scream at myself shaking her body. All I could see was a lifeless Mae with blood oozing out of them.

I move around in bed from a very realistic bad dream. I shot up in a cold sweat. I was back in my room and Gina and Tami were giggling holding a whipped cream bottle. They stopped when they saw me squirming and when I woke up.

"Aww see I told you, you ruined the surprised." Tami said to Gina I looked around confused. I touched my face and there was nothing on it. I whipped around and ran out of the room passing Gina and Tami who shrugged at each other.

I reached the bathroom door and skidded to a halt. I stood there with my hand in the knob about to twist it. I breathed in to prepare for the worse and opened the door. To my luck it opened easily and no one was behind the door.

I sighed in relief and took a seat on the closed toilet seat. It was just a dream, a really bad dream. I shut and locked the door and began sobbing. I didn't want Gina and Tami to hear me because then they will think I am week and then I will have to explain what had happened.

I put my elbows on my knees and my hands into the palm of my hands. I sob and sob until I can't sob anymore.
