Ashley had invited Ellie over to her suite to watch serial killer documentaries. Who was she to say no? That shit was her weak point.

They were watching a documentary on Ted Bundy, the same one Ellie had watched with Mark. But they had never finished it, not to mention she didn't mind rewatching the parts she had already seen. She couldn't get enough of it.

Ellie was chuckling under her breath throughout most of the death descriptions. She couldn't help it. That shit was hilarious.

"-Bundy would decapitate his victims and keep their skulls in his apartment."

"HAHAHAHAHA! That part always gets me!" Ellie was way into the documentary to realize how creepy she sounded to the average person. She had practically forgotten Ashley was there to begin with.

Ashley didn't find it as funny as Ellie did but she started to laugh because Ellie was. "What? The decapitation thing?... you have a very unique sense of humor, Ellie."

Ellie flinched. Damn, now she had to come up with something so she didn't seem completely insane.

"Well..." She thought for a moment. "If I was murdered, I would love to have my skull plastered as a trophy in someone's home. It would make me feel important." Nice save. That didn't explain why she thought it was funny but whatever.

Ashley thought about it for a moment. "... Yeah I guess you have a point. Plus when the police find you, it would make the story a lot more interesting. They could give you a cool nickname while they worked on the case!"

"Oh, so you agree?!" Ellie smiled before putting her hands together and laughing. "I would love to have my body torn apart when the time comes!" Ironic that happened in the other timeline with Heidi's gang, and guess what? Ellie wasn't a fan.

"I guess so. I think I would prefer to die painlessly first though. After I'm dead, a killer can just do whatever they want. Dismember me, throw me into fire... who cares, I'm dead! And it would make for a hell of a serial killer story!"

Ellie's laugh didn't let up. "Who is your favorite serial killer?"

"I think Gacy was an interesting guy. He really made the whole world scared of clowns... But you gotta love the Jack the Ripper stories, too! Aw man, have you seen the photos of his murders?! Dude was really fucked up! Blood and guts everywhere! And he's still a mystery! What about you? I'm assuming it's Bundy, right?"

"Surprisingly no. I would have to say Jeffery Dahmer. As fascinating and terrifying as cannibalism is, it comes with a lot of health risks so it was not very intelligent of him to do on his end..." God. Why the hell was Ashley still talking to her? "Anyway, I do have a folder of terrible crime scenes on my cellular device!" Ellie scrolled through a few photos to show Ashley before putting her phone up again.

"Wow! You have crime scenes from all of the popular murders in the country! You're a real serial killer fan! I admire that." She smiled. "A lot of people think I'm a freak for being such a fan of this kind of stuff but I just find it so interesting! I'm glad I found someone who likes the same things I do. Makes life a little less lonely, you know?"

"I agree!" Ellie sat up straight from pure excitement alone. "No one has anything in common with me and when I speak of things like this, I just scare them away. I cannot even talk about it with my friends." She sighed. "A lot of people have called me a freak in the past. Including on the cruise." That wasn't because she threatened people's lives when they cut her off or anything. Ellis was a lot of things, but being self aware was not one of them.

"Well..." Ashley scooted closer and wrapped an arm around Ellie's side. She smiled again. "I don't think you're a freak. You're a lot of fun to hang out with and you seem like the kind of person who doesn't take shit from anyone! I know I wouldn't want to mess with you! With everything you know about Bundy, you could kill me." She laughed, clearly joking.
