Mia ordered a cup of water at the same bar she met Gloria at last time; she wasn't a big drinker. It was a bit hard to convince Gloria to meet up with her. Mia wondered why but didn't question it.

Gloria walked up to the table where Mia was sitting and sat down across from her. "Hey, Mia." She look fucking exhausted but what else was new. She was also about ten minutes late. "What's up?"

She smiled. "Nothing. I just wanted to meet up with you again since I'm leaving soon." She said while sliding a margarita over to Gloria. "I ordered this for you. Is it still your favorite?"

Gloria immediately chugged most of the margarita in one go. That was a definite enough answer for Mia. "Yep! Thanks! So are you leaving soon because you're about to move to Duckburg?"

"Yeah. I'm helping this girl named Heidi move in before I retrieve my stuff from New York."

Her eyes widened "Oh my god! You met Heidi?! I'm friends with her!" Mia already knew that. "It's cool how you two are both moving to Duckburg at the same time. We'll all have to hang out."

Mia laughed. "For sure." She lowered her voice. "Hey, um, I've been meaning to ask you something." She already knew the answer from Future Gloria, but she supposed she just needed to hear it again. What happened still hurt after all these years. "I know you left because of Axel... but was one of the reasons you left me behind was because you started to not like me anymore?"

"What? No no no." Gloria had no idea why Mia was bringing this up but whatever. "That wasn't why I left. I loved you and I didn't want Axel to hurt you too. I left right when he started to get really scary and when he first found out about us... I didn't tell you where I was going because I didn't want you involved... or, you know, find out about his gang and the fact that I was involved with them." She paused for a moment. "I'm sure you're still mad at me. I can't blame you if you are, but I just want you to know that I was only trying to do what was best for you."

Mia let out a sigh. "Sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up. I mean, I'm over it and all." Sorta. "But, I don't know, our last conversation was just so casual and it got to me." She began to tear up. "I just missed you so much and it was like nothing even happened."

"I know it was. Looking back on it, it was a little too casual... But listen, it wasn't like I just left and forgot about you, Mia. God, I was such a mess when I left! I had no one and leaving you behind really broke my heart. But now that you're moving to Duckburg, I hope one day you can forgive me."

She nodded slowly. "I forgive you... it's just hard is all." Mia said. "But um... how has your life been in Duckburg? I know you said you're doing alright, but I want to make sure you are. It would make me feel better to know. You deserve way better than that gang."

"Well to tell you the truth, I've been better. I was fine when I first moved to Duckburg but things are kind of going to shit at the moment. It seems like everything is going wrong." Gloria wasn't sure if she should start spilling all the tea to Mia. There was a lot and she didn't want her to feel bad.

"...what do you mean?" From what Mia could remember, nothing major had happened to Gloria in Vegas according to the notebook.

She sighed. Where to begin? "Boyd's mem- oh wait." She thought that Mia didn't know who Boyd was. Mia read about him in the notebook but she never met him. "Boyd is Gyro's... okay he doesn't like to be called a robot but yeah, Gyro invented him a long time ago. Anyways, his memories were just erased and now he's only a shell of who he used to be. Everyone's really upset by it." She took another sip of her margarita. "Oh. Okay this is going to sound fucked up but we were kinda mixed up with a gang for a little while but everyone's safe so don't worry." Gloria didn't add anything more to that story. They would've been there for hours and she didn't want to throw Heidi's name in the mud. Especially since Mia just met Heidi. "My friend Ellie has gone missing and her fiancé has been searching everywhere for her... We have no idea where she went." That made her feel like shit again. "And I've just been here this whole time. Not helping with anything... I have a really bad history with Vegas so I don't like being out of the hotel room that much..." She rubbed her face. "Fuck, I'm such a mess right now."
