Mark stormed around the ship, paparazzi and news reporters flashing pictures and asking questions every so often, along with past fans of his cursing at him. But his motive at the moment wasn't to get a good name again, his motive was to find Ellie. The last thing he wanted to do was speak to her, but he had a bone to pick at the very least.
There was a large crowd at the elevators, and sure enough, there was Ellie in the center of it. Answering questions, posing for pictures, the whole shtick. If Mark didn't know any better, he'd say she was enjoying it and having the time of her life, but he knew for a fact she was anything but 'happy', considering a robot couldn't even be that. She wanted to murder every single person there just to get attention off of her, but she was willing to put up with it all, including her worst nightmare, fame, just to get back at Mark out of mere pettiness. And that's what pissed him off the most. She had a better name in the media than he did, more fans too, and she didn't even want any of it. Not to mention she wasn't even rich and had built her fame off of his.
As soon as the elevators opened and Ellie stepped inside, Mark tore his way through the crowd to enter along with her. The crowd flipped and immediately started shouting questions, Ellie performing a damsel in distress act in the meantime.
"Mr. Beaks! What do you have to say to everyone wanting to pull stocks from your company?!"
"Are you afraid of going bankrupt?!"
"You have yet to speak of the baby!"
"Any name ideas?!"
"Are you getting back together with Ellie?!"
Mark furiously slammed the elevator button as the questions began to steer more and more toward Ellie and their non-existent child.
Eventually the doors closed, Mark pressing a random button toward the top floor.
As soon as they were out of sight, Ellie's damsel in distress act dropped and she was distinctly pissed.
"Just what do you believe you are doing?! I have no interest in speaking with you!"
He ignored her, pressing the emergency button that held the elevator in place.
"Excuse me?!" Ellie reached to press another floor button, but Mark stopped that shit real fast, slapping her hand away.
She huffed. "Fine! You want to do this the hard way?! Let us do this the hard way!" She pulled out a steak knife from her purse, as per usual. She wasn't planning on stabbing Mark, but he didn't know that, it was simply a scare tactic to get him away from the buttons.
Mark, however, knew most of her moves too well by now after studying her for months and was able to rip the knife out of her hand with ease, placing it in his belt for easy access. He was no fighter, but he was quick on his feet if his break-in to Gyro's lab was anything to go by.
Ellie was actually caught off guard and distracted long enough for Mark to slam her into the wall, holding her in place by the neck with his forearm, a classic choke hold. It didn't hurt Ellie in the least bit, but she was stuck. If she wanted to, she could attempt to play defense and kick him, taking him by the arm and throwing him to the ground. But that move would most definitely break his arm, and the last thing she wanted to do was hurt him physically. (That didn't include a few slaps to the face.)
She looked Mark in the eyes with fear, waiting for what he was going to say or do next. Her horrified expression would have convinced him she did feel something if he hadn't convinced himself otherwise by now.
"Why?! Why did you do this to me, Ellie?! You ruined my image! My fucking name! That was all that I had and it was taken from me in a matter of minutes! Years of creating a name for myself, gone! All thanks to you! My company is probably already on its last legs and on the brink of bankruptcy and there's nothing I can do about it!"
