"Annie." Ashley greeted, walking up to Dr. Anity's side. He was in the middle of connecting wires to organs. He was on his fifth test subject already and it had only been about 24 hours.

"I'm working." He was clearly pissed off. Not at Ashley though. This was the final corpse that he had at hand. The rest had all been deformed and mangled to the point where he simply had to throw them away. The machine was correct, it was just the correct wiring on the body that he still needed to figure out.

"I know, but I just wanted to update you on the Ellie situation. She made a mistake today."

Dr. Anity stopped and looked up from his work. "What do you mean she made a mistake?"

"She attempted to warn her friend Gloria of the current situation. Emphasis on attempt. I shut it down." Ashley crossed her arms and shook her head. "It's a shame. I still really like her but she just won't seem to come around."

He sighed and wiped the sweat from his brow with his forearm. "Looks like you're going to have to give her a more serious warning this time. You know what to do." They couldn't just kill Ellie off that quickly. Espically since Dr. Anity has yet to successfully bring anyone back. He may need her for more experiments and testing.

Ashley smirked. "Do you want me to bring Gloria in dead or alive?"

"Alive for the time being. We wouldn't want Ellie to kill us in retaliation." He did that uncomfortable laugh again.

Past Gloria was, you guessed it, in the same exact bar drinking yet another margarita. She sat at a table booth by herself while she looked through the crappy tourist magazines they handed out on the cruise. She had a pen at hand, so she was being immature and doodling little mustaches and profanity in the pages.

"You sure like to drink, huh?"

Gloria looked up and it was none other than Ashley sitting across from her. Beer in hand. Damn. Homegirl just likes to pop into places without warning, doesn't she?

She closed the magazine and pushed it aside, clearly uncomfortable."I suppose so... Are you looking for Ellie?"

"Uh, no. No. She's hanging out with Boyd." Ashley scratched the back of her head, seeming just as uncomfortable. "Look, I just have this feeling that I freaked you out when we first met and I feel really bad. I hope I'm wrong, but I want to apologize anyway. I know you and Ellie are really close friends so the last thing I want is to make you uncomfortable if I'm going to be around you more often from now on." She laughed before trailing off, dodging her eyes away and rubbing her arm.

"Oh. No, you didn't freak me out." That was a lie. "It's fine. Really. But thank you anyways for talking to me about it." Gloria hated this conversation so she got up from the table to make an excuse to leave it for a moment. "I'm going to order another drink. Do you want something?"

"Sure! Can you get me another beer? Doesn't matter which kind."

"Okay!" Gloria forced a smile before she left to go and order the drinks with the bartender across the room, leaving her current drink unattended with Ashley.

As you may have guessed, Ashley did that cliche thing where she took out a vile from her purse and poured the liquid into Gloria's drink. She made sure to stir it for extra caution.

Ashley had already gotten rid of any evidence of her spiking Gloria's drink by the time she sat back down. "Alright, It'll be a few minutes." Gloria knew that she offered Ashley a drink but she didn't know why she didn't just leave. She assumed that she had more that she wanted to say. She already took another sip of her margarita right when she sat down again, not having tasted anything different with it.
