I was pretending to listen to what Archi Boy was saying but my mind was wandering around.  He's seated in front of me and we're enjoying our wine after a nice dinner.  He brought me to a fancy Italian Restaurant. Suddenly, I realized that I've been eating pasta the past few days. After this, I need to get a break from Italian food.

I smiled at him and tried to concentrate again on what he's saying. He's witty, intelligent and charming.  And of course, his boy next door type look is something that a lot of girls in the office gush about. But there's something lacking. I still can't pinpoint it at this time.

My crazy inner self suddenly answered, something is lacking because you wish you're with Country Boy instead!

I shook my head to get rid of those piercing gray eyes that I'm imagining are staring at me right now.  Carla, focus on your date! I scolded myself.

I couldn't help but glance at my watch while he was talking.  He probably noticed it because he suddenly asked,

"Am I boring you? Or do you have to be somewhere else?"

"Oh no, of course not!  I'm sorry.  It's just a habit of mine.  I look at my watch a lot." I felt embarrassed.  It wasn't my intention to offend him.

"That's fine. I just want to make sure that I'm not keeping you away from your plans. But if you want, after this drink, we can go ahead.  Is it okay if I bring you home? I want to make sure you're home safely."

"Oh that's so sweet of you, Kyle.  You don't have to but I would love that. You're such a gentleman." I greatly appreciated his gesture.

After we finished our drinks, he got the check and we headed out. It was a nice evening so we decided to walk.  My place was near the restaurant that he chose, about a 15 to 20 minute walk.  I'm grateful that I didn't wear my high stiletto shoes or else, I will lose my poise and by the time we reach our apartment, I may have blisters all over my feet.

He cracked good jokes on our way home and I didn't even notice that we had already reached my flat.

"So, I have one more joke before I let you go. What do you call a nun in a wheelchair?"  He asked with a sheepish grin on his face.  I raised my eyebrow and asked him back.

"Virgin Mobile!"  I couldn't help but laugh at his last joke. By this time, I knew that this guy had potential.  I love guys with a good sense of humor.  Why did I miss this a while ago in the restaurant?  Maybe because he was uptight during dinner and just started to loosen up on our way home.  He should have shown me this side of him from the very start.

By this time, there was no doubt in my mind that I would like to spend more time with him.  I was about to invite him to come inside my place for a nightcap when the door across from my apartment suddenly opened.  And there he was with all his gorgeousness screaming on my face, Mr. Country Boy in the flesh!

He was wearing a black V neck shirt and jeans.  I noticed that he just had a haircut and his perfect face is irritating.

"Hi Carla! Finally you're here! I was waiting for you! I thought you're going to ditch me." He said with a pout on his face.

I was surprised with what he said.  Ditch him? What is this devil talking about?

"Huh?! What are you talking about Santi?" I asked innocently.

"It's our movie night! I already got our tickets for the last show!" He said straight up.  I looked at him incredulously!  I was about to say something when I heard Kyle suddenly speak up,
