LIFE CAN BE LIKE A ROLLERCOASTER FOR SOME.

ups and downs all throughout life. pretty eventful, no?

well, for others life is like a simple ride down a river, no crashing waves, no ups or downs. just flat.

that is what life was like for you most of your life. for as long as you could remember, you couldn't remember. you had been diagnosed with severe amnesia at a young age after an unknown tragic event which had caused severe damage to your head and brain, yet you pushed on and managed to live a mostly normal life while just forgetting things along the way.

it's not like any of your memories were all that important, anyways. most of them are just cloud-gazing, or whether you have enough food or not.

and it's not like you currently had any family to remember. if you did have anything, they were either dead or left you behind. either way, you didn't care. it didn't bother you. you would forget either way.

but now, you were looking down at the letter in your hand, the front had what you think is your name, and it was held together by a red wax seal.

you shrug and pull it open, looking at the first page you could see.

Dear Miss Tokito,

we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.

we know of your amnesia and all your equipment will be ready for you at the school in your assigned dorm.

you blink, "oh, okay"

though little to your knowledge, this turn of events would be the very change you need in your life to have a chance at regaining your memories.

you read further ahead, it just mentions how school starts on september 1st and you should send a letter back no later than july.

it also included all your equipment you would need, even though it had stated you wouldn't need it.

whatever, i'll probably forget anyways.

you put the letter in your pocket and take out a piece of paper and quill and ink from who knows where, writing a simple letter back on how you would attend.

you later asked someone the date and they told you 'july 20th'

so you still had a whole month until school started, which in your case was a bad thing. you were surely going to forget about it, well, you would figure that out when the time comes, or not.
