When Bucky and I re-enter the party I realize that we missed the cake being cut. I leave Bucky by the couches talking with Steve and the others as I go to the kitchen to cut us a piece.
"Sorry we couldn't wait!", Wanda says to me as she places her plate in the sink.
"Oh don't worry about it! We got a little distracted", I say with a hinting smile.
She slowly nods her head, "Ohh I see. Well he certainly looks satisfied".
As I glance over at him I feel proud at how relaxed and calm I got him feeling, as it seems to have helped Stark's words roll right off him.
"I guess that means I did a job well done", I smirk cockily at her.
She smiles and rolls her eyes at me, "I think you're having a little too much fun with both of them".
I swipe my finger across the frosting on my plate and place it in my mouth, enjoying the sweetness of the buttercream frosting.
"I'm having my cake and eating it too", I smugly respond with a smile before picking up the plates and making my way back to Bucky.
Quietly I hand Buck the plate while he talks with the guys about Asgard.
"They really let you stay there? I thought that was forbidden", Clint says confused.
"Wouldn't you guys be smote or something by going there?", Sam chimes in.
"I don't think Thor or Rosie would let that happen", Steve responds.
"Damn right", I say winking at Steve.
"You think you could go up against a god?", Clint asks me interested.
I shrug casually, "Hmm, maybe. Might depend on the god".
"Your girl is badass", Clint tells Steve with an approving nod.
"I know", Steve says looking over at me with tenderness in his eyes.
I have to break the eye contact from feeling myself melt so much under his gaze like I always do.
"But you know who's better? The birthday girl!", I say noting Nat walking over wrapped under Thor's arm.
"Here here!", Clint adds holding up his drink to her.
Nat smiles sweetly at us, "As the birthday girl I say we start playing some games".
"Whatever you want", Thor says to her as he squeezes her shoulder, "We could play the game of Fortnite", he says excitedly.
"Fortnite? Like the video game", Sam asks confused by how Thor knows it.
I see Tony furiously shaking his head in the background at the mention of that.
"We'll do that another time buddy", Tony says patting Thors back as he walks up.
"I say we let the birthday girl decide", Stark says looking over at Nat.
Nat looks around the room with a playful gleam, "Well I say we play a little laser tag. But avenger style...".
My eyebrows raise in surprise at her request, "Avenger style?", I ask looking around the room as her words seemed to have sparked something.
"That means that three hits and you're out, but the object of the game isn't just to be the last one standing, it's to have the most "kills"", Nat explains.
"Also, all devices and powers are fair game, except for hulking out", Stark adds patting Bruce on the back.
"Fine by me", Bruce awkwardly laughs.
