"Brody, I don't understand," I frown, "why do you have to leave? We're in the middle of school."

We went through a week full of bliss at school, me and Brody being happily together. We didn't do anything that important to mention. Just had school, hung out with the group, and did some studying. I did a few things with my grandparents, but nothing too exciting.

Sadly I didn't know that it was going to change so quickly.

It was now Friday and Brody was talking about leaving during school. He had done that twice already this week. Well, I guess that wasn't something boring. Because I don't know why he's doing it. He won't tell me. And the rest of the group act like it's no big deal.

No excuse really. He just says his parents need him and that he has to leave. Which makes absolutely no sense at all. Mostly because he never even told me what his parents did for a living. Almost like he was ashamed to tell me.

"My parents are having an issue, I have to go help them." Brody gives Andrew a look before he kisses my cheek and runs out.

"Why does he keep doing that?" I frown and cross my arms.

He just keeps leaving at random times, saying random things every single time. I'm just concerned that it's something serious. And I can't talk to him about it because he won't talk to me.

That man will not open up to me no matter how hard I try. And it kind of hurts that in the few weeks we've known each other, I hardly know a single thing about him. And he knows so much about me. And I'M the one with the big secret. Ironic isn't it.

"Doing what?" Rosie asks as she walks up and wraps an arm around Andrew's waist.

"He keeps running off all the time just randomly." I pout, "Is he cheating on me already? We just started dating last week," I groan and slump against my locker. I was obviously joking, I knew Brody wouldn't do that. It was just bothering me why he kept doing it and not talking to me about it.

"I'm sure that's not it," Chris chuckles, "he's a very good man, he would never do that to a lady. Or lie either for that matter."

"I'm still angry a little, it's always out of the blue. You'd think that he would talk to me about it instead of just running off all the time. And whenever I try to talk about it he always changes the subject."

It's been like that since I met him almost a month ago. Every single time we try and talk about his family, or rather, when I try to talk about his family, he always changes the subject. He seriously won't talk about his parents, or his sister for that matter. She's the only one that he's really talked about. And I only know her name and the fact that she's sixteen.

He's so closed off with me and I don't get it. He keeps seeming like he's had stuff on his mind the past few weeks, and I just wanna know why. I want to help him. But I can't do that when he won't let me.

"I'm sure he just has a lot on his mind," Juliet chimes in.

"Yeah," I grumble, "whatever. I'm gonna go to class." I get up and the rest follow me without any complaints.

I hope he starts talking to me about stuff. Or else I don't know how I'm going to be able to trust him enough to tell him about me. If he can't trust me enough to tell me about his family, how on earth am I supposed to be able to tell him that I'm a werewolf? And a special one at that.

Brody, what are you hiding from me? And why is it so important that you do?

~

It's the end of the school day and I was about to call for one of my grandparents to come get me. They hadn't had to do it much. The first couple of days I hung out with my friends after school, a few days they had to the second week. But since I've been hanging out with Brody, he's been giving me a lift to school.

Especially now that we're together.

Speaking of me and Brody, we were supposed to go on a date after school today, considering that it was Friday. And we planned for them on Fridays so we could do more stuff without worrying about school.

I wasn't exactly expecting him to show up. He had left right after second hour, so right at the beginning of the school day. He hadn't shown up in the remaining hours of the day. Why would he now?

Surprisingly enough, as I was taking my phone out to call my grandmother, I heard his soothing, yet for the time being, annoying voice right behind me.
