"So he's all good?" I ask Konan as I fold my hands together, "You're completely sure?"
It's the day after I talked with father, meaning that Daniel was two days old now. I've been worried ever since I got him back that something would happen. That there would be some form of a complication. But thankfully so far there hasn't been any. And there doesn't seem like there will be."Yeah," Konan smiles at him before looking at me, "whatever you did, he's completely fine. Danielle I-" he starts to get serious so I cut him off.
"Konan," I shake my head, "whatever you're going to say, forget it. I just happened to do it, I love you, and Athena and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Okay? You don't have to keep thanking me."
"Yes, I do, because that was incredible," he smiles. "But I was going to say that I remember you went to the elders yesterday."
"Oh," I frown a little and nod, "yeah what about it?"
"The boys didn't tell me what happened. They said that you should be the one to tell me. So did something bad happen or something?"
Konan wasn't here when we went back to see Athena and Daniel. He was off preparing some training things with Brandon since my dad wasn't back yet. So I didn't get a chance to sit down and tell him.Though, it's not like I wanted to tell him about how much of a freak I was. He wouldn't agree with that terminology, but it's how I felt. It's how I feel now.
"I guess you could see it that way," I whisper.
Konan's face furrows at that. He obviously didn't like the sound of it. "And what was it? Now you're making me worried."
"Elder Savannah and Max said that I had two white wolf powers," I whisper with a nervous smile on my face.
"Oh," his eyes widen and he blinks a few times before he even says anything. "Which ones were they?"
"Well, Savannah was sure of the fact that I have healing hand, that's how I saved Daniel," I nod towards him in Konan's arms.
Konan smiles at me before handing Daniel to me. I carefully put him in the crook of my arm, smiling at seeing that he was sleeping. I adjust him so that he doesn't wake up, then start moving slightly back and forth.
"So," he crosses his arms and looks down at his sleeping face, "what about the second one? She's not one hundred percent sure about it?""She looked sure, but I could just tell that she wasn't, if that makes any sense."
"It does," he nods.
"Anyway, she said it was something called Motherly Bonding. That's how I felt that connection or pull when he was firstborn. I guess I'm supposed to be able to comfort newborns and children."
"How nice to get your motherly instincts down before having your own," he smirks.
"Shut up Konan," I roll my eyes and huff with a soft pout. I knew he was kidding, but sometimes I just wanted to punch him a little bit.
"How are you taking all of this Brody?" Konan looks over at him, who is sitting and talking with Roman and Theo.
He stops listening to Roman and looks over at Konan while shrugging, "I guess I'm taking it okay."
"How would that be?" Konan is testing him. Why? If it's because of the wolf thing I would gladly kill himself if he ever told anyone so he doesn't need to worry.
"How else am I supposed to respond to finding out that my mate is a princess and a white wolf with more than one power?" Brody asks and stands up, crossing his arms in the process. He was saying it in almost an accusing tone, and that worried me a little bit. I didn't need the two of them arguing right now.
