"Hey, you okay?" Roman whispers and stops me after we get a good twenty yards from the house.

That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

"I don't know," I shake my head and rub my hands over my face, "What does any of that even mean?"

"That was some weird stuff," Roman whispers.

"I know," I grumble and run a hand through my hair, "Do you think it's all true though?"

"They're elders, I'm sure they are correct," Theo speaks up.

I run a hand through my hair nervously. "None of this makes any sense. How can this even be possible? They examined me when I was younger and they saw no signs of any of this."

Roman sighs, giving a small shrug. "Things change, baby sister. I don't even know if they tested you for this specifically."

"Obviously," I mutter and look over at Brody to see him looking at the ground with a frown on his face. No doubt he's confused with all of this. I'm confused and I've had to deal with it for forever.

"Brody?" I whisper.

His head snaps up and his eyes meet mine. I could tell that he was both concerned and confused, both of which I didn't blame him for. I didn't take my gaze off of him as I mutter, "Guys, you go back to Konan and Athena's room."

"Where are you going?" Theo asks.

I huff and glance over at the two of them, "I'm gonna show him."

I see Brody take a step towards me and Theo widens his eyes, flickering his gaze over to Brody for a second. "Are you sure? What if he doesn't take it the way you think he's going to?"

"He's my mate," I whisper, "I can't lie to him about who I am. I already told him, it's best that I show him so he can see it for himself. It's a lot to take in, but I think he should see all of it."

"It's not like it's bad, don't say it like that," Theo grumbles.

I smile warmly at my brother's protective nature. "I'm just saying, Brody and I have kept enough secrets from each other, he needs to know this about me."

Theo just sighs and crosses his arms in defeat and I look over at Roman who hasn't said anything yet. It was starting to make me nervous. "Ro?"

He stares at me intently before crossing his arms as well. "You already told him and he's still here. So I guess that's a good sign."

I snort and roll my eyes, "Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"Only the best for you," Roman chuckles. His eyes snap over to Brody for a moment and he huffs. "I love you baby sis. But if he freaks out and runs, I'm going to chase him down and beat his ass. I don't care who he is."

"Roman," I grumble.

He laughs again, and I could tell he was actually laughing. Though I happen to love that despite the current confusing situation that we were in he could still laugh. I loved it. Because it made me feel a bit calmer about it, made me feel slightly less of a freak.

"I'll see you back in their room, alright?" Roman asks.

I nod, "Yeah, if you see dad-"

"Don't tell him anything," he winks and kisses my cheek, "I got you. Let's go, Theo." He turns and starts walking back towards the hospital wing while Theo gives me a mock salute, "See you soon, big sis."

I giggle a little bit before I turn and see Brody staring at me with a soft look on his face. I can't tell what he's thinking, and I hate that. I hate that I don't know what he's thinking. I know it's probably not good, because I probably wouldn't be given the situation.
