I quickly snap my eyes open, expecting to see Brody walking through the door. So imagine my surprise when I see both of my brothers.

"Roman? Konan? What are you guys doing here?"

"Our baby sister ends up in the hospital, you really think that we're not going to come see you?" Konan grumbles.

I see he had an eyebrow raised and came and sat next to me. Meanwhile Roman leaned against the wall, crossing his arms in the process.

"So, care to explain what the hell exactly happened?" Konan huffs.

I stare at him, and his eyes, those stupid brown eyes make me cave without a second thought. As if I wouldn't tell him anyway. "I'm sure you already know what happened."

"Just the basics," Konan answers. "We were on the other side of town when Cato let us know what was going on. We hurried over as fast as we could but by the time we got here the battle was already over." He then scoffs and leans back into his chair, "So imagine our surprise when we got here and found out that you were here in the infirmary."

I shift a little bit where I was sitting and look away from him. I know the two of them are overprotective of me, as are all of my brothers, so I hate worrying them and getting into these types of situations.

"I didn't mean to-"

"Is it true?" Roman quietly cuts me off.

I flinch for a second before quickly glancing over at him, frowning when I saw the sad look pass over his face. His brown eyes mimicked Konan's, they were both concerned and upset. And they had every right to be.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what he was talking about. I didn't even question how they found out either, just them getting into the hospital wing they probably heard a bunch of stuff about the Luna, aka me, being shot.

"Yes, I need you to take the pen."

Both of my brothers gently close their eyes, and I can tell they are both pretty angry. Angry for the fact that it happened to me, angry that I was in this situation, and angry that I had to go through all of this pain and torture just because of who I was.

"Sis," Konan whispers. He reaches a hand out and gently takes my hand in his, giving it a soft squeeze. "How are you doing? I bet it was pretty scary."

"A little," I answer honestly. "I know I have a better chance of surviving than most do, but I didn't want to think about what would have happened if I never got the antidote."

"I'm happy you got it," Roman answers. "Where...?" He trails off.

I point to my right and he pushes himself off the wall to head over to the cabinet to my right. God, he looks just like Konan doing that. Both of them look alike all in itself, but his mannerisms and the way he walks or does something is just like him as well. People mistake them for twins all the time, even though Roman still looks slightly younger in my eyes.

"Do Cato and the others know?" I whisper softly.

"They do," Konan huffs out, and I could tell he wasn't happy with that. "They weren't happy to know what happened, especially after you told them you were going to go down into the bunkers, Danielle."

I huff softly and run a hand over my face. I definitely didn't need an older brother lecture from him right now. "I know, Konan. I know!"

"So, what's the plan here?" Konan asks. "Because they're going to be able to tell soon enough that you are healing faster than a human should."

"I know," I groan and lay back and look up at the ceiling. "But I just don't know-" I abruptly stop talking and slowly shake my head. "I wasn't supposed to find my mate and get into this kind of mess."

"But you did," Roman states as he sits on the bed on my right. "And you have to tell him. He's your mate, there's no way that he would just ditch you or go and blab about this to everyone."

"And if he does," Konan adds. "Then Ro and I are going to have a little talk with him."

"A big talk," Roman grumbles.

"We already should be," Konan huffs. He sees my confused look and explains, "We can smell him, Dani. We could smell him the minute that we walked into the room."

My face pales and I glance between the two of them, "So that means..."

"That we knew that he was a werewolf and you didn't? Yeah," Roman mutters. "Yeah baby sister. Means that you couldn't tell."
