We finished that day after eating with Madeline and Titus with the rest of the tour of the pack house. Our time was cut a little short since Brody had to leave to help take care of something. Now I sort of realize why he left during school all those times. I'm sure he has to do his part to help around the pack.

The only thing I'm still confused with is why Brody has had to keep leaving and none of the others had to during school. But that's a discussion for a later date.

Brody had some drivers take me home after that. I told him I wouldn't mind walking and getting some exercise, but he told me it was nonsense and that he would have someone take me back to my grandparents place.

Now it's a few days later and I'm in his house. And lord let me tell you that it was a NICE house.

It was like a lake house, you know those really nice wooden ones? Oh yeah, it was nice. The living room was nice and spacious, a small table in one corner, two big sofas and a reclining chair with a coffee table surrounded by a fireplace. Along one wall there was a space next to the windows to sit and look out, that will more than likely be my favorite place in the whole house.

There were a few chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and the kitchen was amazing. There was dark wood finishing for all of the cabinets, with white marble tops for counters. There was an island that could fit around four people, there were spacious upon spacious amounts of cabinets. A chef's literal dream kitchen.

A dining table sat off of the kitchen, big enough to fit around eight to ten people.

"Wow," I whisper as I brush my hand over the fabric of a blanket on the back of one of the couches. "Your house is gorgeous."

"Thanks," Brody smiles softly. "It's alright. I said it was too much but, it's home."

I giggle a little bit and breathe in the warm scent of his home. Vanilla and mahogany. Oh it smells wonderful.

"So," he smiles a little bit. "I thought of something we could do, if you don't mind?"

"Sure," I smile. "What would that be?"

"Maybe...bake some cookies?"

"Oh yes please!" I jump excitedly and practically run over to the kitchen.

I hear him chuckle as he comes in behind me, making my heart skip a beat. His deep chuckle is always going to do that to me, I swear.

As I get in there, I see that on one of the counters by the toaster is all of the solid ingredients that we would need. I smile and turn to look at him, "You knew I was going to say yes, didn't you?"

Brody's cheeks blush a little and he tries to nonchalantly lean against the counter. "You told me your favorite dessert was cookies. Chocolate chip to be exact."

I smile brightly at him and lean up to give him a quick kiss. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," he whispers. He in turn gives me a smile and gives my forehead a quick kiss and then goes to get the ingredients from the fridge that we would need.

"So, how are you taking in everything?" Brody asks as he takes the milk and eggs out of the fridge.

I shrug a little bit as I start washing my hands. "Fine I guess."

More fine than he would think, considering I was a werewolf myself. But he didn't know that and I didn't want him to know that yet.

"It's weird to be going through their territory since I haven't done it before but, it's cool to see where you live," I tell him honestly. "I like learning more and more about you."

"So, you like the pack? My sister? Even my parents?"

"Your pack is wonderful," I giggle a little and glance over at him while I start drying my hands. "Your sister is just the same, she's great. And your parents are just a little rough on the edges."

A sort of sarcastic laugh escapes Brody. "Rough on the edges? No, no, my dad is literally awful. He doesn't trust me with anything I do and he doesn't think I can even do anything for that matter. He never gives me a break and treats me like I'm five years old. Not to mention he left me, my mother and my sister. My mother, on the other hand, raised us while my dad left and has never treated me like I was some lab rat or disappointment."

Okay, definitely wasn't expecting that. Though I guess it was a little nice to hear his thought process on some of his feelings towards his parents. He hasn't been very forthcoming with me about them, even if this time they were bad thoughts.
