I came back home really late so I ended up just going to sleep, and for today I was cleaning around the house as usual, but I was getting ready for a special guest my mom was bringing home as a surprise.

I was kind of disappointed that I couldn't say good-bye to Harry before I went off, but I guess he had some studying to do again.

DHL gave us a break for the winter this January since no one was allowed to leave the college in those crazy snow blizzards.

My mom had got me this really cute sweater for christmas and I was glad to wear this evening.

I checked my email to see if I had received a reply from any of the industries from New York, but no, not yet.

I heard the door downstairs start to unlock and I knew it was my mom finally here with the guess. I stayed in my room for awhile and waited until my mother allowed me to come out of my room, so I did some studying, until I smelt the food.

"I'm coming!" I shouted as if my mother was calling me, but it was only a joke because I was really just hungry.

I left my room as the smell if the food became stronger and I was becoming even happier to be home. I ran down the stairs and I saw my mom dressed all fancy and nice for the first time in a long time.

"Honey, this is Richard Teefey," my mother spoke up as I finally touched the floor of the kitchen and a bald man with dark facial hair scatter around his face, smiled.

I felt kind of uncomfortable to see a stranger in our house and I wasn't use to my mother doing this at all.

"This is my," I just stood as she wrapped an arm around him as he sat down and they looked at each other, like they were talking through their eyes.

"Boyfriend," my mom said with the love in her eyes and I joked around with them, giving them both as serious look as I crossed my arms across my chest.

My mother's and her new boyfriend's face became nervous in two different ways until I bursted out laughing like my mom did to me and Harry.

"I'm kidding...you should've saw your faces," I said and my mother laughed along with me, probably remembering what she did, while Richard just sat there smiling.

"Hi, I'm Selena," I introduced myself to Richard with a smile and stepped up to him with my hand set out, but as he shook my hand firmly, the doorbell ring.

"I didn't expect any other type of guest," my mother's hazel eyes lit up in surprise and she was about to get the door, but I stopped her, choosing to get it instead.

I jogged over to the door and I opened it to see someone I never thought I'd see again, making me think that I had forgot to check the window to see who it was.

His moustache prominent and furry black. His slightly tanned skin and almost evil-looking grin with eyes almost similar to mines just as mom.

"Hi, my little Sel," he said and passed me, stepping into the house.

"Hey, Amanda!" my father called out my mom as he wrapped an arm around me as if he been around forever, but I was not comfortable with this at all.

My mom's hazel eyes grew as she ran over to us in panic, as I pulled out my father's hold a bit pissed that he would pop up out of nowhere.

"What are you doing here, Ricardo?" my mom said his name with a Spanish accent in a whisper, as anger built up in me.

"I want to see how big my daughter grew up," he said and looked over to me with a smile, as I gave him a glare instead from the far side.

My mother tried to talk to him about how it was bad timing in whispers and I just wanted to say some smart comments to him so I did

"Yeah, go back to your other daughter, Victoria," my anger spoke up and my mom looked to me with wide eyes.

"I think I'll just step out, Mandy," Richard spoke up, but Ricardo stopped him with a hand in the air.

"Nope, this is just about to get started," He said and Richard sat back down as my mother backed away from my father with crossed arms.

"Why do you want to do this?" she asked, but it sounded like she could've been asking herself as well.

"Because this is my Selena, and she needs to understand how this thing works," my father spoke and I clenched my jaw, crossing my arms across my chest like my mom.

"I'm not your Selena, and I don't need to know how this works, because the impact you made in my life will never change," I said, as I spat at him with my words and really felt my inner demons coming out.

"Okay, what I mean is that you need to see what's wrong and what's right with this whole situa-Oh, yeah," I interrupted him, feeling my words building up quickly in piles.

"I know that you cheated on my mother which was wrong and my mom left you which is right, because now you look stupid," I said, and felt my face boil red.

"Selena," my mom sounded surprised, but I just gave her my 'I don't care' look then looked back to my father.

"You think your grown, you think you got it altogether, mija!?" my father shouted now, and my mind was finally full with the rest of my comments.

"You think you're in total control?!" he shouted at me, as the Spanish in his voice was starting to peel out.

"Yes, because I know how to deal with what you did to my mom!" I bursted out.

"I finished school, I'm at college now, I'm independent, study hard, and even have a boyfriend to manage!" I shouted at him with wide eyes as my mother and Richard just watched me release.

"You got her running around with boys now!" my father became angry, and now that was it. I wasn't running around with boys at all.

"Actually, it's only been one boy, and his name is Harry, but you know why it's only, because I couldn't trust any other boy!" I shouted as I felt the pain in my throat.

"I thought every boy was gonna turn out to be you and my thoughts kept thinking about well, look at your mom, look at your mom!" I ranted on as I felt the tears at the edge of my eyes.

"Well, I'm done looking at what my mother been through, because I'm happy now, and I'm in love with him," I said my last part sternly in just calm words.

"I don't wanna see you with no boy...actually you're gonna break up with him right now, because he's gonna break your heart and leave you, trust me!" my father had another comeback and the tears flowed down my cheeks at his words. I wasn't doing crap for a father I haven't seen in so many years.

I ran up back to my room as he kept going on, and I wiped away the tears, but fresh hot tears watered down my face.

"He's gonna turn out to be just like me!!" I heard Ricardo shout and I stepped into my room, slamming the door behind me, as I got ready to pack up my things, because I was leaving early.
