Hello, I have returned.

I been dealing with some personal things so my sincerest apologies for the long wait (especially because I said y'all wouldn't wait long) but shit happens and life is shit.

Enjoy, read, vote and comment :)

Jasmines's POV

"Hey, Jas, come on, wake up baby." I heard followed by a hand touch my arm. I groaned, before rolling over and attempting to pull what I thought was the covers over me, but was quickly mistaken as I opened my eyes, squinting as the sun shone brightly. "Ouch."

"Sorry." I replied, seeing Bey holding onto my hand that was gripping the end of her dressing gown which I had mistaken for a blanket.

"You good." She replied before chuckling. "I knew I shouldn't have let you get those acrylics, you scratched me."

"I thought I was in bed." I whined out of embarrassment.

"And I was your blanket." She said with a soft laugh. She is my blanket. My comfort blanket.

"What time is it? Is it morning?"

"No, it's still your birthday." She replied. "It's 4:30."

"Oh, why did you wake me?"

"You gotta get ready. Kelly said my mom was doing your hair, and you gotta wash it." She told me, rubbing her thumb on my hand.

"How long was I asleep? I was in the ocean with Solange last time I remember." I asked with stretch.

"You fell asleep on her." She laughed. "I got you out and put you here. You were only asleep for about an hour."

"Where were you?"

"Only over there." She nodded towards the other side of the boat. "I could see you, don't worry."

"I wasn't." I half lied.

"Did you miss me?" She cooed followed by a soft chuckle.

"I was sleeping." I deadpanned as she laughed.

"Come on." She said, standing up and holding her hand out as I latched on and she pulled me up off the sun lounger.

"What time is dinner?"

"Shawn pushed it back to 8."

"Oh, how come?" I asked.

"We figured you could do with the sleep." She replied, wrapping her arm around me as we walked inside.

"What about you? Don't you want sleep?"

"I got all the time in the world to sleep when these babies arrive."

"But won't they be up? Screaming and crying and whatever else they do?"

"Ah but I got Shawn to take care of them." She joked. "I'll be fine boo, I've gone my whole life on little sleep, no point stopping now."

"I used to love sleep."

"You'll get back there eventually, I promise." She said before sighing. "My mom used to tell me, some things just take time to happen. But when they do happen, you'll realise why it was worth the wait."

"I guess." I shrugged in response, and the second it left my lips I predicted her response.

"Don't guess, know." She said.

"I knew you'd say that." I mumbled with a small laugh.

"And I knew you'd say 'I guess.'"

"How?"
