Jasmine's pov

Waking up the next morning was the strangest feeling. It took a good few minutes to work out where I was. At least it's Friday tomorrow. I felt a sudden sense of dread, thinking about the events of today, what would happen, what 'option' to choose. I sat up in the large bed, taking a sip of water out of the glass next to me and heard a knock on the door.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"Oh you're up already!" Mrs Carte- sorry Beyoncé, said, walking in. I just nodded in response as she took it upon herself to sit on the bed. "You okay? Did you sleep okay?"

"Yeah I guess. The beds really comfy." I said, man this was awkward.

"Right, well we've got to leave in an hour, drop Blue off at school as well." She said, I nodded. "Do you want breakfast?"

"No thank you. I'm not a breakfast person."

"Breakfast gets you going for the day. No wonder you're always tired, you need the fuel." She lectured.

"Beyoncé please, I'm not hungry, and I won't be hungry till break. I never have, and probably never will eat breakfast. Now let me dress." I told her.

"Okay, okay, whatever you say..." she said holding her hands up in defence. "I'll leave you to it then." She said before standing up and leaving the room. I sighed and rolled my eyes slightly. I rolled out of the bed and made my way to the en-suite, doing my hygiene's and quickly throwing my hair up into a bun on the top of my head. I got undressed, taking a glance in the floor length mirror at my stomach, sides and back. The bruises were finally starting to fade, but they still hurt. I ran my fingers over my eyes and cheek, wincing slightly in pain. I still had no makeup here, so once I was changed into my uniform, I quickly texted Jordyn asking to bring her makeup in.

"Hi!" I heard at the bedroom door. I jumped slightly, turning around seeing it was Blue.

"Um, hi?" I said, laughing slightly.

"Mommy's getting ready, will you tie my laces." She said, looking down at her shoes.

"Yeah, I guess." I said, and she ran over and sat on the bed with me. "There you go." I said while finishing the last loop on her shoe.

"Thank you." She said, smiling. She was cute for a 6 year old. "You're pretty."

"Aw, thank you, so are you."

"Are you gonna be my new sister?"

"Uh-" I began, but got interrupted.

"Blue, stop being nosy." Shawn said, walking past the room. "Bey wants to know if you're ready to go in a minute?" He asked me.

"Yeah, coming now." I replied.

"Thought anymore about what you wanna do?" He asked once Blue was out of eyesight.

"A bit, it's just so much pressure to just decide right there and then."

"I get you, and I got you. Just remember, I'm on your side here. And me and Bey will do anything in our power to make sure you are alright and protected."

"Thanks Shawn." I smiled. He put his arm round my shoulder as we walked down the stairs after I grabbed my bag.

"Well, I gotta go. I'll see you at morning break, and if you haven't decided by then, that's fine. Take as much time as you need. This is all about you. I can just speed things up." He said. He said bye to Beyoncé and Blue, while blue watched the TV in the front room, hugging and kissing them both quickly before he left out.

"How's the bruising?" Beyoncé asked, leading me into the kitchen.

"Fine." I lied. It's a habit. Like my grandma always said, never let them see you weak side.
