Jasmine's POV

"Are you even listening?" I heard Bey say.

"What?" I dragged out.

"Stop daydreaming and focus." She told me

It was 2 weeks later, and a Friday. My favourite day. Well it used to be until I started having to stay after school with Bey so she could help me with school work. Every day. It was nice of her to help, don't get me wrong, but nothings changed, I still don't understand anything she says. I was tired, headachey and bored every day.

Oh and we were now back at home, with dad. We left Tina's on Tuesday night, and when I tell you it was nice to be back in my own bed, with my own bathroom. It's the little things.

"Can I go out tomorrow?" I asked.

"Is that really what you been thinking about?"

"This is boring. I'm bored. B-O-R-E-D." I sighed frustrated.

"At least you can spell." She chuckled.

"You're mean." I pouted as I stared at the computer screen in front of me, my cheeks resting on my fists.

"I know you're bored. You tell me every day. But Jas, this is basic stuff and it's still not clicking."

"We've been here for an hour. A whole hour. Can we go now?" I asked irritably.

"Yeah we have and I've not seen you put pen to paper yet."

"There, pen to paper." I said scribbling on the paper in front of me.

"Very funny." She rolled her eyes. "Come on, at least try for me."

"I am and I have." I said, dropping the pen on the desk watching it roll off onto the floor.

"Pick it up." She eyed me.

"You're closer." I replied.

"You let it roll." She said and I huffed, leaning over and picking it up. "Now the more you argue, the longer we gonna stay."

"Don't you have a child you need to pick up?"

"I also got a child who needs help with school." She said, tapping my cheek. "Your dads getting her anyway."

"Well let's go and we can be home before them." I suggested.

"You wanna go huh? You wanna go home and have no technology for a week? You wanna go home and not go out tomorrow? Okay, let's go." She said.

"You always doing the most." I said rolling my eyes, banging my head on the desk.

"And you always doing the least when it comes to school. Stop banging your head like that and get to work." She said.

"I can't! I don't get it!" I semi-yelled.

"Who you yelling at please? Calm down." She soothed as I shook my leg.

"Sorry." I whispered.

"Mm you good." She said. "Now we gonna finish this whether you like it or not."

"Can I go to the toilet first?"

"Be quick." She sighed. "You got 3 minutes. Imma go talk to Nicki."

"About me I assume." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, about you. Now run along." She said as I picked my bag up.
