My quarantine ends tomorrow 😆 coronavirus see ya later, thanks for taking all the energy from my body
Jasmine's POV
"Jasmine, you're suspended for the week. You'll spend the rest of the day with Miss Maraj and I want you to apologise to her for hitting her." Mr Fisher said while I sat there, my mouth making the perfect 'o'."So I'm the one who gets hit first, and I'm the one who gets suspended?"
"We are dealing with Ella accordingly. We've also wanted you about fighting multiple times now, and you go and let yourself down. Just as your schoolwork and attitude was on the up." He said all professionally. Damn what's Shawn and Beyoncé gonna say.
"I didn't want to fight her though, I told you this already. She came on to me first!" I yelled in frustration.
"Please calm down and stop shouting at me, you've brought this on yourself."
"Then why a rent you listening? I didn't bring it on myself, for the last time, Ella started on me first." I said, clapping between every word.
"Just go to Mass Maraj." He said and I rolled my eyes, standing up and picking my bag up. "And enough of the rolling eyes, I'll be ringing home."
"Which one?" I muttered under my breath, walking out of the office, seeing Ella sat there in tears. My blood boiled, this is all her fault. But still, I tried to be the bigger person and walk away.
"It's like frickin' de ja vu with you, Jas." Miss Maraj said, holding an ice pack to her cheek, referring to last year when I accidentally hit her, during a meltdown. I came into school one morning after a really bad argument with my mom and Miss Maraj stopped me. I had a huge meltdown when I was telling her what happened, and when she tried to comfort me, I hit her away. It was completely accidental though and totally not my fault.
"Sorry, for hitting you." I replied to her. She sighed, patting the chair next to her and I sat down.
"You didn't mean it, it's fine, all is forgiven. I've just rang Bey..."
"I figured you would. What did she say?"
"Not a lot."
"Silence is never a good thing with her." I said sighing. "Did you tell her it wasn't my fault?"
"I tried, but she was more focussed on the fact you'd been suspended and you'd hit me." She said. Oh Jesus. "You just gotta talk to her. Explain what happened, no missing bits out, and no lying."
"I do not lie." I said pretending to be offended and she raised her eyebrow,
"She wants you straight home though."
"Yeah yeah."
"No Jas, I'm serious. You go straight home, otherwise you've got me in trouble then." She said, in a stern tone, and I nodded.
"So what happens now?" I asked.
"You're with me until the end of the day. You got work to do?" She asked and I shook my head. "Who's class are you meant to be in?"
"Ummm," I said thinking. "Science?"
"Right, I'll email your teachers and ask for some work for you. But until then, you can sort them books out over there." She said, pointing over to a pile of books on the floor next to the bookshelf.
"Do I get paid?"
"Girl, no." She chuckled. "Think of it as an apology for hitting me... both times."
"I already said sorry... both times." I said. "Besides, you said yourself this time wasn't my fault."
"Just do it."
