Shawn's POV
"G-grandma?" Jas said. I shot a look at her. What did this child just say? Bey was looking at her like she was crazy. Blue had ran inside at this point to go see her Uncle Eric.

"Jasmine?" My mom said.

"Nah, this is fucked. What did you just call my mom? I know you ain't just call her grandma."

"Shawn Corey Carter, you calm down right now. You're scaring her." My mom told me.

"She ain't your grandma."

"Jas, darling, why don't you go on in and get Blue to show you where you're sleeping and start unpacking." Bey said to her. She nodded and slowly walked inside to get Blue. "I think we should talk, somewhere that's not on the front doorstep."

"Yes, lets go through." My mom said, taking us through to the living room. Me and Bey sat on one of the white couches, while my mom sat opposite us. I immediately knew what Bey was thinking, as she sat there with her hands clasped together.

"This makes no sense..." Bey said, putting her head in her hands. "She's calling your mom grandma, and you don't know anything about her?"

"Bey, I know what you're thinking and I don't know what's happening, but my mom isn't Jas' grandma."

"Not by blood. You remember Kimberly back then? Kimberly Charles." My mom said, I nodded. How could I forget, that chick was crazy. "That's her mom. I helped look after her baby until she was 8."

"See, she's not my kid Bey. The only kids I got are Blue and the babies." My mom and Bey's mom both knew about the twins, we told them the moment we found out.

"But how'd you know her anyway?" Bey questioned. Here we go.

"It ain't like that Bey, listen, back in the day, I was seeing this girl called Kimberly Charles. She was obsessed with me, she was 20 and I was 30, it was like she got some sort of kick out of being with an older guy." I explained "Do the math. Jas is 15, meaning she was born in 2001, we started dating around 2002, official in 2003. I ain't cheat on you with her I swear."

"He's telling the truth Bey. When Shawn and Kimberly met, yall were just friends."

"But why is she calling you grandma?" I asked.

"Because, you remember when she got pregnant from that guy she didn't know. Her mom kicked her out, you'd gone to uni at this point, so we had a spare room. She stayed with me, I basically brought that child up myself, she worked day and night, and then she got enough money and moved back to Houston when Jasmine was 8. That was the last time I saw her."

"When we became official, and we came to visit you and that child was running around, was that-" Bey said.

"Yeah, that was her, she was 2 almost 3 then."

"Damn this is confusing as hell."

"You're telling me, I thought I had a child I didn't know about for a minute." I said.

"So just to reiterate, yall aren't related?" Bey asked.

"No, well probably somewhere down the line." I said.

"But wait, I'm confused because Jasmine's last name is Washington, not Charles, and on her files her mom is Kim Washington?"

"I don't know, I've always known her as Kimberly Charles." I said

"Yeah same." My mom said. "Shawn, I think you need to go and apologise to her, for getting so angry." I nodded, pulling myself up off the chair and upstairs.

"Daddy, I think Jasmine's sad." Blue pouted as I reached the top of the stairs.

"I know baby, I'm gonna go check on her. You go downstairs and see grandma." I said and she ran past me nodding her head. I went over to the room her and Jasmine are staying in, before knocking on the door. "Jas, it's me. Can I come in?"
