Finally finished my uni work... 2nd year see ya later ✌🏾 Jasmine at the top 👆🏾

Jasmine's pov
I shot my head up gasping, waking up after hearing a bell

"It's just the school bell..." Beyoncé said laughing slightly once the bell had finished, walking back into the classroom.

"When's this meeting?" I asked her, as she sat at her desk.

"In about half an hour, just waiting for Shawn to get here"

"Why?" I asked, confused as to why she was getting her husband involved.

"I told you last night, he's a lawyer, he's done loads of drug cases. He can help you through this." She explained.

"Look, I appreciate yall helping, but I don't need it. I'll get by on my own, like I always have done."

"But that's the thing, you never have 'got by', look what happened last week."

"Jeez, thanks for bringing that one up." I told her.

"You know I'm right though." She said, I mean yeah she was but I'm not admitting that. "Anyway, you're gonna have to go the doctors soon, get everything checked out, the bruises and stuff."

"They're just bruises, they'll fade..."

"Yeah, I know, but he could've done some serious damage, internally. I mean you can barely move without yelping. And you need to get tested, make sure you're not... pregnant" she said. I looked at my hands and didn't say anything, just sighed.

"What's the meeting about?" I asked, after a couple of minutes.

"Just what happens next, what steps we take, most importantly what you wanna do. This is all about you."

"Me? What I want to do?"

"Yeah, Shawn will explain your options, advise what's best, but you don't have to go with what he says if you don't want to. He'll want to know what happened though..." she sighed.

"Can't you tell him?" I asked, I guess she sensed my internal panic at the thought of reliving what happened for the third time in two days, as she hit out her seat and walked over, sitting on the desk opposite me.

"I can't sweetheart, it needs to come from your mouth. For all anyone knows, I could be lying for you."

"Well just say you're not." I said clearly not getting how the law works.

"It really doesn't work like that. Listen okay, I'll be there, you'll be fine I promise."

"You shouldn't keep promises... they never work out."

"Anywho... we should go down now, it's almost 20 to 4." She said changing the subject. I nodded and picked up my bag, following her out the room as she locked it behind her.

"Hey Jas, don't be doing that stuff again okay. It messes with you. I also can't be having you miss any more of my lessons." Miss Maraj said as we walked past her.

"Why? Miss me too much?" I smartly replied. I saw Beyoncé roll her eyes out the corner of my eye.

"Ha, Miss you? Not a chance." She replied, laughing.

"Ah, is that why you're making us stay after school tomorrow?" I questioned her jokingly.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Run along now." She said, waving bye.

"Come on." Bey said, breathing out a small laugh. I followed her down the stairs and to the reception, where her husband was. She let him in with her pass and gave him a quick peck on the lips, while I stood awkwardly looking away. Gross.
