Jasmine's POV
Finally the christmas holidays were here. The last week of school was definitely an eventful one to say the least. After Bey had a word with Jackson about what he said in that class, he got really mad and tried to throw a punch at me, Nathan pushed me out the way and I accidentally ended up on the floor in the process. Other than a few grazes, I was convinced I'd broke my back, but Bey and Dad took me to Michelle who confirmed it was just a bad bruise.

"Jas, you up?" I heard outside my room, followed by a knock. I opened my eyes and groaned. Another good thing about Christmas holidays this year, is I can catch up on all the sleep I've missed out on all my life.

"I am now." I replied, and the door opened revealing Bey.

"Sleep good?" She asked, opening my curtains as I squinted at the light, pulling the covers over my face. "Aw, you so dramatic."

"What time is it?"

"Half 10." She replied as I took my face out my cover.

"Wow." I replied, yawning.

"Wow indeed." She chuckled. "You been sleeping good lately."

"Yeah, I guess." I replied. Other than a few bad dreams here and there, i was doing pretty good.

"How's your back?"

"Sore." I replied. Did it hurt? Yes. Was I was milking this? Also Yes, I liked the special treatment.

"Too sore to go shopping with your grandma?" She questioned, a brow raised.

"No!" I said shooting up and she chuckled. "Is she coming today?"

"Yeah, your dad told you last week."

"If it was when he was giving me that lecture about fighting, I was not listening." I admitted confidently, and she faked a gasp.

"Don't make me go tell your dad you weren't listening."

"I mean, I really don't think I should've been given a lecture. I was barely even involved."

"Did you or did you not open your mouth when Jackson was saying stuff to you."

"Yes."

"Did you or did you not start running your mouth at him talking about at least you have a mom." She questioned.

"Yes." I sighed. "But only because he was talking shit about her."

"Watch it." She warned, popping my mouth slightly.

"Did he or did he not put his hands on me first." I mocked her and she laughed softly, but also fakely.

"No, he didn't. He tried to, I don't know if you got concussed in the meantime, but I seem to remember Nathan pushed you out the way."

"Same thing."

"You lucky it was Nicki who broke it up and not me."

"At least I didn't hit her again." I shrugged, trying to make light of the situation, but she failed to see the funny side.

"How's life with no phone treating you?" She teased and I pouted. "You need to nip all this in the bud asap."

"All what?" I questioned.

"Arguing, fighting, not listening to us. Get your head down and do your work like you're asked."

"You know, I don't wake up and think what can I do to annoy yall."

"You've got a funny way of showing it."

"Did you really come and wake me up to give me a lecture?" I groaned, lying back down and turning over.
