Shawn's POV
"No shawn, she's your kid." Bey told me. What the fuck."What you mean she's my kid? She don't even look like me."
"She took her mother's looks." My mom said.
"You said yourself, she's so like Blue, the way they act and everything." Bey said.
"So you believe her? What exactly did she tell you?"
"Her mom lied to you both. She wasn't pregnant from no one night stand. She just didn't wanna get in the way of your career, so she lied. When she came here, she put 2 and 2 together."
"Yeah, and got fucking 5. I'm telling you Bey, she's not my kid." I said in denial. She can't be. I'd know my own child.
"Shawn. I think Beyoncé, or Jasmine is right." Mom said. "When yall first got together and came round when Jas was 2, she did look a bit like how Blue used to look. Same features. I've only just realised now Beyoncé's said."
"Nah, this is stupid. Where is she now then?"
"She's upstairs, she didn't wanna tell you because of how you'd react." Bey said.
"So you're telling me, my own daughter can't even face me to tell me? Bullshit." I said. "Go get her, I want her to tell me to my face." Bey sighed, standing up while my mom eyed me, before she left out and went upstairs.
"Shawn, listen, she's still just a kid. You can't treat her like you've just been speaking about her." My mom told me. "And watch your mouth." A few minutes later, Bey came back down with Jasmine.
"Bey move out the way. I want her to tell me to my face." I said, seeing Jasmine stood awkwardly behind Bey.
"Shawn, calm down." Bey told me, moving out the way.
"Well, tell me what you gotta tell me." I told Jasmine. She nervously sighed.
"My mom lied to you both." She said looking to my mom and me, sitting down in the couch. "She told me a few years ago that my dad and her were both really good friends, and when she got pregnant with me she lied to him and his mom and said that I was from a one night stand. When her mom found out, she kicked her out, so his mom let her stay with her and helped bring me up while she worked." She said, looking down at her hands the whole time, but momentarily looking up at my mom. "She said he was going to University and didn't want to stand in his way, then when I was 8 she brought me back to Houston."
"And this makes you think I'm your dad?" I asked in disbelief.
"Um-"
"This is bullshit, I'm sorry. You said yourself she was a pathological liar." I informed her.
"I mean she is, but she wouldn't lie to me about this... she was different when I was 11." She argued back. Oh hell no, this girl ain't about to argue with me.
"Shawn, leave her alone, she's said what she said. I think she's telling the truth." My mom said.
"So we just gonna believe some lil kid who we've only known just over a week?"
Jasmine's POV
"So, we just gonna believe some lil kid who we've only known just over a week?" Shawn said. Ouch. That really hit the feels. I went to speak but he interrupted me. "It's the truth. She got too comfortable living with us, and now she wants to be part of us so she's spitting this shit.""I'm not fucking lying! My mom told me what she told me! I can't fucking do anything about it!" I yelled back, standing up out the chair. I knew it was a bad idea telling Beyoncé. Shawn was about to say something, but Bey quickly stood up and got in front of him.
