Jasmine's pov
Another night with no sleep, this time because of the pain I was in. I buttoned my shirt up before tucking it into my skirt, and loosely doing my tie. The makeup just wasn't doing it for me today, it wasn't covering anything, in fact it made it look worse, so I wiped it off and just left it."How do I look?" I asked Jordyn, who was putting her last shoe on. I quickly put her shades on that she let me borrow, and turned around.
"Try not to hunch, you look in pain."
"I am" I said bluntly.
"I still think you should tell someone..." she sighed.
"You know I'm never going to do that." I replied as we both walked out the door and in the direction of school. I was actually a bit nervous, what if someone asked and I froze. No, I've got a plan in my head. Not possible, I kept telling myself.
"Whats up with you?" Mellisa asked as we joined her and Nathan in the yard, referring to the shades.
"I got jumped" I smiled weakly, slightly pulling the glasses up so they could see.
"Oh, scary shit. Looks bad."
"It's not as bad as it looks, barely even hurts." I lied, as Jordyn shot me a look.
"So what happens with you now, are we not gonna see you for a week if you're with Mrs Carter?" Nathan asked
"I dunno, I'll see everyone in English though, I hope anyway. I don't even know if I'm supposed to be here now, or with her? God I hope I'm allowed out for lunch and break." I said as they all chuckled. A few minutes passed and the dreaded bell went. "Jord, I can't do this, she's gonna know..." I whispered to her, as we walked into the school before going our separate ways.
"It's a migraine remember, just act like everything's normal and you're not in so much pain okay, you'll be fine I swear." She told me. I smiled.
"Okay, see you all later" I said, as I turned left up the stairs. It was a struggle, and I found myself almost pulling myself up them, when I reached floor 2, my chest was sore, probably from the bruise. When I reached Mrs Carter's classroom, I knocked and she signalled for me to come in, without looking up as it looked like she was writing something down.
"Was beginning to think you weren't going to show up after your little stunt at the care home last night. Sit down, I'll be with you in a minute." She said, I muttered an okay before she got up out her chair. I managed to turn around before she saw my face and made my way over to one of the desks, while she walked out the room.
Several minutes had passed and I looked outside the room, seeing her talking to one of the year 8s with papers in her hand. I turned back around and looked around the room. I saw at her desk a photo frame, with her, what I assume was her husband and her kid. Cute. The perfect little family. I scowled. It wasn't until I focused on the man, that I realised I've seen him before. I tried to think, then it hit me and the thought flashed through my mind. When I walked right into him the day after my mum smacked me.
"Right, sorry about tha-" she began, coming back a few minutes later, "okay, what's with the shades please." She asked, sounding amused.
"Migraine" I muttered quickly.
"What?" She asked sitting down at her desk.
"Migraines." I repeated myself, louder this time.
"Right.. and are they really necessary?"
"Yep, doctor said" I said, the first thing that came to mind. She just nodded, before turning back to her computer, typing a few letters, then clicking the mouse before turning back to me.
