Chapter 2

Jasmine's POV

The next morning, I woke up with a pounding headache. A few things happened last night, involving Cole. It angers me because my mum didn't even do anything about it. It angers me that I didn't do anything. Why did I freeze? Why didn't I just fight him away. Anyway, try push that to the back of my mind and carry on with the day. I put my uniform on, did my hygiene stuff and brushed my teeth. I put some mascara on and did my eyebrows and then grabbed my bag and left the house without saying a word to anyone.

"Jasmine!" I felt someone grab my shoulders making me jump. "Woah, chill girl, it's only me" I turned around and Nathan was stood there.

"Right, yeah" I replied

"What's got into you, you're never jumpy"

"I don't know, didn't get much sleep. Just drop it yeah?" I snapped seeing his face turn. "Sorry... never liked the morning" I tried laughing it off.

"Does anybody?" Mellisa said, walking over. "Heard about you yesterday."

"Me? why?"

"Mrs Carter giving you a little telling off" she laughed

"Oh, that was nothing, just wanted my coursework really."

"Have you done it?"

"No" I said, Nathan was about to say something but I cut him off, "I've started it, I'm on like 450 words, I fell asleep"

"Well in that case, get behind the wall, she's on gate duty" Mellisa said and I hid behind the wall.

The day went by, my assignment had gone unmentioned in English this morning, however the work from yesterday did not, but I just lied and said I didn't hear her say to hand it in. It was nearing the end of the day, I was in science with Mellisa and Jordyn, listening to Mrs Diamond go on about mitosis or some shit.

"Sorry Mrs Diamond, could I borrow Jasmine please?" I looked up hearing my name, Mrs Carter was stood at the doorway. Mrs Diamond nodded, looking at me. "Have you got your assignment?" she said when I was outside.

"Well, you see I-"

"I said have you got your assignment, I don't want an excuse" she said, cutting me off.

"No.."

"Right, you can stay after school then."

"But that's not fair! I've got things to do after school!" I semi shouted

"Who do you think you're yelling at?" She sternly said. "Do you think I want to stay after school?"

"No"

"Exactly. So why should I let you off if you haven't done something again? It's your own fault Jasmine."

"Actually, my computer crashed and I lost the original copy, and it left me with 500 words" I lied.

"Well, you can carry on from them 500 words after school can't you? Now get back to science and I'll see you by the computers outside English in half an hour do I make myself clear"

"Yes Miss.." I sighed and went back into science. The bell went and I took my phone out my pocket and brought up my messages.

Hey, I'm gonna be late, should be in bout 4:30

"Phone away please Jasmine" I heard Mrs Diamond say, I put my phone back in my pocket and made my way up the stairs to the English department. I sat down at a computer and logged in when Mrs Maraj came over.
